My old pump failed after 5 years, so searchbegan. Was hoping for one as durable as the other, but it was horrible to clean. Glad I tried this one! It has been a dream to do maintenance on! I do not have to take it apart and clean the separate pads, rinse the bio balls and struggle to get the top secured. What used to take 20 min is generally 5-6. Even when the inner parts need cleaned it is still so simple to clean out and reassemble!I do not dread cleaning it out any more. Very very happy with ease of use and performance!

Look, I’m using it now. Keep my coy pine, clean and clear. I mean this is a game changer when you have a Koi pond must have.

Excelente filtro, sigue funcionando después de varios meses de uso. La limpieza es súper sencilla. Tengo un estanque pequeño con carpas y el agua la mantiene cristalina.

I bought this to replace another brand that I got on Amazon that failed me very quickly. The quality on this one does seem a lot better so far. Couple of issues off the bat though. The inlet and outlet were leaking from the hoses right away. I had to add plumber tape on both to get them to stop. My old one did not do this with same size hoses.I like that it has the switch control for back-washing, but even when it's switched to normal outlet only, water still comes out the waste slot. I'm guessing this is why they include the cap, which can be a pain sometimes to get on since it causes the water to splash back at you unless you turn off your pump. The other filter I had didn't have this problem, not sure why it's an issue with this one. But, besides this it seems to work well. I'm even buying a second one for my other pond.

I own a landscape company. I have built many ponds in my day and I always had a problem with filtration. I have found a solution. I wanted to wait on my review so I could see how long the water will stay clear. It has been 3 months and I have had no issues. My pond is around 2400 gallons with direct sun light. I have a couple of koi and around 20 small goldfish. I have a skimmer and this filter. My pond was a mess when I first installed it. The water would not clear up. I drained the water and cleaned the pond after 2 weeks of installing it. i ordered this filter and filled the pond. after 1 day the water was already turning green. the next day I installed this filter. The water cleared up in one day and has stayed clear ever since. the pond is 2' deep and I can see strait to the bottom. Installation was very easy. I was worried about the filter leaking one day so I installed it in my bridge that spans across the pond. The pump sits 6" off the pond floor. I use a 3600 gph pump. This filter is worth every penny. If I can give any advise, it would be to have both a skimmer and pressure filter. You can see a video of my pond: [...]

After the newly-purchased lamp in my old Fishmate gravity filter unexpectedly died, I decided to give the Pressurized 3000 UV pond filter a try. It cleared the water in two days and kept it crystal clear afterwards. It recommends that you do not pump more than 2,000 gallons per hour to have crystal-clear water, as otherwise the water goes too fast for the UV lamp to do its job efficiently. I connected it to my Laguna pump, which, at 2,400 GPH, exceeds the suggestions, as I found no way to divert part of the water somewhere else, to comply, but it has done a terrific job keeping my over-stuffed fish pond very clean.I am just concerned that every time that I try to clean it, only clean water comes out! I have had it for a month now and the last time had only a little dirty water come out, preceded and followed by clear water. When the @dirty@ water comes out, the water output drops substantially. I hope that this is normal. Meanwhile, my fish pond is more transparent then ever. I used to clean the gravity filter about twice a day due to the fish load. This one, as suggested, I clean only once a week with the given results. You can verify that the internal UV light is working by a small light on top of the unit, but it is so small and so dim that I can only check it at night with all other lights out. This could and should be improved. Otherwise, I rate this product very highly.

I have had the Ani Mate 300UV filter for a month now. It was very easy to hook up since I had tubing already in place from a previous filter. My 1300 gallon pond gets direct sunlight all day and I could never get the water clear without constant work and multiple chemical additives. After a week my pond was clear and I can enjoy my Comets. I buried the filter amongst the iris plants beside the pond so it is not readily visible. The filter is very easy to flush and clean and continues to keep my pond clear with minimal effort. I have not needed any chemicals since I switched to this filter. Hopefully it will continue to work well, and when the time comes the replacement bulbs and filters will be easy to obtain and install. So far I am very pleased and would recommend this item.

This filter is a replacement. The first one did a great job keeping my 2000 gal fishpond clean for several summers. Than came an unusualy hard freeze and it craked... My bad for not bringing it in for the winter.I ordered from Sea Coral in Clyde NC. It arrived in 1 1/2 weeks.... broken in transit. The flimsy packaging offered no protection against UPS handling. I called Sea Coral and was told to send it back. They would have to receive the broken unit before they could ship a new one. (For me an unnecesary 30 mile trip to the post office) I have received damaged goods in the past. But since the company had my payment info, they would just send a replacement, while I returned the broken stuff... Not Sea Corals... In the meantime my pond is getting very green. I will not order from them again.
