This worked great on my '22 Ford F150 for hauling a pop-up camper. Easy to install, and has held up well for the last two years.

It's difficult to follow the instructions and you have to recognize that each part is designed for a specific side even if it isn't marked. It definitely took a bit to put it all together, but it's doable at home if you have some patience. It's exactly the same as the one you'd get at a shop and this is a lot better deal on the price and you can install it on your own without having to drill the frame or anything difficult. The hardest part is having the right tools to get into some tight spaces.

We install 2 sets of these air bags on a 2016 2WD and a 2018 4WD Ford F-150 trucks. Some tips on the install, you'll need a regular and deep 9/16" sockets and end wrench for installing the system and 1/2" socket with an extension to remove the stock bumper. When bolting the air spring to it mounting plate, choose the front set of mounting holes so the air spring is closest to the front of the truck. Definitely bend the handles on the blind nut plates to 45 degrees for installation. The manual shows installing these nut plates with the bend handles in same direction, but easier to install them crossing the handles. I would suggest installing the right or passenger side first as there are no brakes lines interfering with your access to the inside hole in the frame you need to insert these nut plates through. Installing the upper mounting plate is the hardest part to do. Easier to do when you use the bumper bolt to loosely hold up the upper mounting plate in place first before installing the two bolts holding the mounting plate to the frame. On the 2016, we had to bend up the front factory flanges on the U bolt guides so we could get the bottom air spring bracket was in line with the top air spring bracket. On the 2016 we had to cut an opening in the plastic wheel liners so the air bags did not rub on them and have an easier time installing the upper air spring bracket. On the 2018 the inner fender does not extend down like the 2016 and does not need to be cut. Had a defective angle air fitting and contacted Customer Service for a replacement and same day they sent me the fitting. With 5 psi in the bags, no change in the "ride." The air bags worked great pulling a 24' enclosed trailer from CA to TX. Leveled the truck with no problem @ 50 psi.

Got mixed information all over the internet whether this kit would fit my 2021 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost. Amazon said it is not meant to fit this truck, but said it does work with the 5.0L and 2.7L in this year, so though i would give it a shot as my theory is all the frames should be the same for each motor type of this truck.Left side went in exactly as instructions said it would fit.Right side threw me for a loop. Top and bottom brackets did not align, making the air bag sit at an angle, leaning into the box direction. Also was a smaller height gap between top/bottom bracket as the other side, causing the air bag to be very compressed. After scratching my head for an hour to figure out why one side of the truck wasn't the same as the other, and not really figuring out why, I decided to modify as required to make it fit.I drilled a new hole in bottom bracket, making the airbag sit a little closer to the box side (notice slight gap in bottom bracket tire side). The air bag is only off the bracket back side by 1/4", so not a big deal, and this fixed the alignment problem.I used the top holes within the top bracket to attach the air bag rather than the bottom holes that the manual said to use, and this resolved the squished airbag issue. Seems weird that the left side used the bottom holes as directed, and this side needed to use top holes, but the spacing worked out perfect. After these minor mods, tested everything out good, and everything seems to be good with how the truck sits, and bags fill evenly.See pictures for the differences of each side.I had ride rite air bags in my 2010 F150 and it made a much better experience pulling trailers. Tried without on my new 2021 and had to get these back on the truck as they make a big difference, which is why i was willing to struggle with this to make it work.

I’m a mechanic. I’m picky about my vehicles and I pull a 26’ 5200lb empty trailer with my 16 screw 4x4 f150. I read every review you could read on airbags for the 15-20 f150. If you want a set that fit perfect and actually mount on the springs and you also do not have to trim your rear wheel liners for these to fit. I ran mine together with a T fitting and took the line from the passenger side and wrapped it in plastic wire loom and took it over the frame and under the bed and tapped into the ds and mounted my inlet fill to the ds hole in the rear inner fender. Works great. Empty run them around 5lbs and loaded 25-35 is all they need to be level. Smooth ride. Great product highly recommended these over the airlift brand that will beat you to death.

The main frame/brackets which there are two of, are not labelled left or right. It is possible to install the incorrect base on top of the springs which will make the bag orientation off-set and crooked. Make sure you install the correct base to the top of the springs. The backing nuts were very easy to use on the RH side but were very tricky to install on the LH side just by the way the brake lines were oriented. Be patient and it can be very easy to install. The LH side took me two hours (because of the difficulty inserting the backing plates) but the RH side took me less than 30 minutes. I like that there is a lot of air hose to play with to try different routing paths for the air line. I have the air lines and schraeder valves zip tied in for now to see if I like where everything is located. The bags have worked flawlessly. High quality product!! Truck can take a load and ride like a dream!

I installed this on a 2015 F150 Crew Cab. The installation itself is very straight forward. However, as a DIY person I found that this took me longer than if you do it with the proper tools. The most time consuming part for me was the brackets that attach the air bag bracket to the leaf springs. There was little room for my socket to get much more than an 8th of a turn so these brackets took about 1 hour a side to install. If I had an air socket or battery socket wrench the install would have been finished quickly. One of the air valves had a slow leak. Firestone customer service was great in sending new valves out, but it took 3 weeks. I have been driving with these for almost a month now and towed a travel trailer. I'm very impressed with how they work in levelling my truck after some re adjustments to my weight distributing bars. I'm not a fan of having to ensure there is a least 5lbs of pressure in the bags. The instructions say they lose about 4-5lbs air a week so you need to stay on top of it so the bags don't run out of air completely as they can apparently be damaged this way. I ended up installing a T-Fitting so I only fill once instead of both bags separate. I use them only for towing. All the material seems very high quality. I would recommend these air bags.

I installed these bags on a 2015 F150 3.5L Ecoboost. The truck rides great from the factory but sags with the slightest amount of weight in the bed or on a trailer. I tried Timbrens and although they are a decent product the negatively effected the ride and I pulled them off. I purchased the Firestone bags & paired it with an Air Lift Wireless One on board compressor and couldn't be happier. The ride is not effected and the bags fill and empty quick as needed. I ride with 5lbs as instructed with no issues. I haven't had a chance to put a large load behind the truck yet but I will return and update the review if towing anything heavy drops my rating. As of right now they are as advertised, easy to install, and a solid product all aroundUPDATE 1/29/2020:I hauled an 11,000lbs load with my half ton truck and was able to level out the load safely with the bags. They enhanced stabilization and handling and made me a lot more comfortable pulling the big load. 5 stars all around.

I installed that kit 7 months ago on my F150 Lariat 2015 by myself in less than 3 hrs without power tools or air compressor. If you watch a few YouTube videos, the install is easy as a breeze, everything did fit perfectly as supposed. — I use my truck for work every day, canopy with shelves, subfloor for step ladder, material and tools, so I would say I carry 800-850 lbs at all time. With 20 psi in the bags, my truck stays perfectly levelled. 25-28lbs when I tow my 9000lbs trailer. No leaks whatsoever, I never have to readjust the air pressure. — Can be a bit bouncy on big road bumps, so as soon I can I’ll install Bilstein shocks to replace the crapy OEM ford shocks. Don’t know what to say other than “ Perfect in every aspect !!! “.

Use the instructions as a guideline only! Most important is the final check section at the end. Instructions said use the spacer for a 2WD truck which is WRONG! I imagine it should have stated 4WD truck since they are spaced up about 1 1/2". The best part of the instructions is at the end to do your final checks. At ride height you need 5 1/2 - 6 1/2" and at least 5 psi for it to work correctly!! This will make your life easier and your experience / ride quality much better! 2WD with spacers rode terrible but only had 4" with the upper brackets in the lower holes. Removed spacers, good to go. Added 11/2" lowering shackles to level the truck, same thing - raised the upper bracket to get over 5" of bag at ride height and perfect again! Now best of both worlds, truck is level at ride height and can add air as need for load. Ride is better than stock with 6 psi in the bags. This is a must do add to any truck if you tow or haul in my opinion. Great price for the value. Easy to install (with a little common sense added). Oh and this is the fourth truck I have added them to but this time I used a tee in the air line and only have one air fitting on the back instead of the two. I see ZERO down side and only simpler operation!! Just get a tee off of amazon made for air suspension or on board air kits.
