This is a very heavy duty fire poker. It’s much taller and thicker than all the other pokers.I’m sure this one will never break.It has a hollow core so you can blow air down into the fire to get it going again.

Exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy. Comfortable wood handle. And the tube for blowing the fire is a nice addition!

After buying a couple other fire pokers, this one is definitely a solid piece of kit.It is heavy, but you get the feeling that it will last a long time. The poker end makes it easy to flip and move firewood. The hollow tube lets you push some oxygen down into the fire without getting too close.The only change I would make, is a cap on the top to cover up the spot in the handle where you blow through it. It would be all too easy to find an ant or small spider has gone exploring in that hollow tube. A removable cap would probably help keep tiny critters out of the handle, as well as any pollen or dust that might settle on the end of it.

Well made and longer than many of the other hollow tube pokers that you can blow through to stoke the fire. I especially like the design where the far end of the tube is protected from plugging up by the hook being welded across it. Other tube pokers either get plugged easily with charcoal and ash because the opening is exposed, or, they have a screw-in plug on the end that you have to remove when you want to blow through it (but who wants to unscrew a plug when the thing is red hot!). The sturdy heavy tubing is strong and will easily move the heaviest logs. Stay away from the kind that come in sections and screw together. They can break.

I quite enjoy this tool. There is really only one thing I am not a fan of and that is that the hole at the bottom is fairly wide and so it doesn't have a pin point type focus when stoking a coal for example and instead just introduces a lot of air throughout the fire pit. I wish the hole on the bottom were the size of a bb or so and it would be perfect for reigniting a coal. Other than that I have loved it. The hook is quite functional and best of all, it is affordable.It would be cool if future models could be separated into two pieces for easier storage.

I bought an outdoor firepit this summer and haven't really used it since it was so hot. Now that fall has arrived, I have started using it every weekend. One of the things I hated was trying to move wood around in the fire. Now that isn't a problem. This poker is ridiculously sturdy. It is very strong metal, so no screw together joints to fail. It has an excellent side hook to move logs around with ease, and the extra-long length means you don't have to get too close to a hot fire. The poker is hollow so you can blow through it to help stoke the fire, but the metal is strong enough to handle any weight log. I am very satisfied with this, and you will be too!
