First let me start out saying this kit for the 2001 Honda Civic to my knowledge is supposed to be for the Non Vtec motors. I see a lot of mentions of no egr ports in the intake gaskets and that’s because in the case of the 2001 non vtec motor there is no EGR at all so there’s no need for port holes in the gasket. From my research if you have the vtec motor you need the 26236 PT2 kit not the plain PT kit. Mostly all the gaskets are the same with the exception of the intake gasket and the water pump gasket which are different in the vtec so if you buy this one you won’t get the correct gaskets based on your motor. I’m glad I bought the correct kit the first time as I’ve had the motor torn down before so I knew what looked similar to what I replaced already. Head gasket was done so hopefully it holds true to quality. Hope this helps

No mention that this intake gasket will not work for a d17a2. Call felpro and there excuses is that they don't have control over the What the auto parts stores write in their Parts lists. This ends in you having to do 3 hours of work because there's no mention of a in take gasket that will not work with an EGR system. Which leads you to have thing to do 2 hours of work to replace the intake manifold gasket with something from another manufacturer.

Everything is not needed for a head gasket replacement. Take the intake off with the head to make the job much easier. Do not disconnect the flex joint unless gasket replacement is needed, PITA to reconnect. Other wise Fel-pro has always been go to for gaskets.

The gasket set was what I needed. It was the same item sold at the parts store down the street but for a lot less. The only problem I had with the item was the delivery date. It showed up three days later then it should have. But I can't blame the product.
