The handle and the hammer end are not attached well together. Just a day after having it. My son pulled them apart. But I just got some super glue and glued it back.

Overall the toy is very nice. Quality control is lacking, however, which is disappointing. The wooden hammer broke within one minute. Nothing wood glue won’t fix, but I shouldn’t need go fix a barely used, minute-old toy. The wood board dents very easily too. We’re keeping it though because my toddler does like it and it’s hard to find all-wood no/low toxic toys.

You never know what you are getting, but I trusted Fat Brain Toys and was not disappointed. The child I bought it for loved it and the parents did too. I was impressed with the well made quality. The pegs did not just drop through. It was perfect.

I ordered this for our 23 month old grandson and he LOVES it. We name the colors, we count the pegs, he hammers the pegs gaining perfect eye/hand coordination. I ordered an additional one for his home because he loves it and I believe it is very beneficial.

The toy is made from nice wood. However, the pegs do not stay in the holes. It is too easy to hammer them into the holes. My 14 month old grandson can easily push them through the hole with his chubby little finger. I was hoping for more resistance and certainly not for the pegs to slide through the holes. Had i known this, i would not have purchased this toy. I would have chosen another one.
