Thick mat of neoprene material, protects my workbench from oils and solvents witch makes cleaning up after I clean my firearms a breeze. 48x17 is a great size for cleaning rifles. Roll it back up in the tube it came in keeps it nice an compact for storage.

Great mat! Btw, the grippy side is textured, the slick side of the side you place facing up to work on. No instructions about this, but knowing it is slip resistant, I put it on the table and the textured side is definitely the side down.

I know the description said "cleaning mat", however I use this while at the range. The range I go to has concrete benches and I did not like having to put my firearm straight onto the bench cause it would scratch my rifle. So I bought this mat to use so my firearm does not get scratched while at the range. This mat is thick and big. It comes in a nice cylindrical container and is easy to roll back up. The appearance is nice. The quality is amazing. It's big enough to fit my rifle on. Great value and purpose.
