I got this scoop because I love making falafel at home, but shaping them by hand gets pretty messy and kind of annoying after a while; they also never come out perfect or symmetrical. This little tool makes the whole process a lot easier and way faster.... You just scoop the mix, press the lever, and out comes a nice little ball that’s ready to fry or to bake.The build feels really solid and well made. It’s all stainless steel, so I don’t have to worry about any weird coatings or plastic parts touching my food. I like that it comes apart for cleaning, which makes it super easy to wash, even if you don’t want to put it in the dishwasher. I do put mine in the dishwasher and it cleans it well.I’ve already used it for falafel, but it also works great for meatballs. It gives them a nice even shape so they cook evenly, and it saves time since you’re not rolling and shaping everything by hand.I have to say though, it’s a simple tool but does the job and feels like something that will hold up for a long time. There is a spring inside it so we'll have to see how that holds up, and if the steel the spring is made of is stainless or galvanized to make sure there is no rust in there over time. Other than that, it is GREAT!If you like making homemade falafel or meatballs, I think this is a really useful tool to have. It’s definitely made my kitchen life a little easier. I recommend 👍

I love falafel and make it quite frequently though I do it with just my hands I got this to make it more consistent. It came packaged just fine, with no defects, as far as I could see. Getting it out you get the baller and that's it. I used it on some falafel that I made and it made them the same size. This worked great and helped me make great falafel.

Very good and practical. Great product, good quality, easy to clean. The material is also very good. Overall very good.
