I have been running AAA titiles with ultra graphics and Ray Tracing using this PSU with 6900xt and 12700k. It is very efficient and quiet. Worth the money, even though it is semi modular, it has many custom ports for power source. Cables are good quality and it was easy to fit in a mATX case. It looks good in the case and EVGA warranty is the best in the market so it is a no brainer.

What a stupid product to sell in the UK. The plug is clearly not a UK one, how in the heck is this supposed to power a PC in the UK? NO way of contacting seller, the only thing I can do is return it and order a different one. How ridiculous to sell a power supply that can't actually be powered in the UK!

I was surprised by how large it was, but that shouldn't have been a surprise. The dimensions are clearly (and accurately) stated, and it is a significantly high wattage PSU.Furthermore, I installed the PSU in aLian Li LANCOOL II MESH C RGB-X case. The case has a fairly large bottom section reserved for the PSU in the back and a 3.5" x 3 drive rack in the front. The drive rack is moveable but not re-moveable. Given the extra length of the PSU, this makes adding the modular power cables on an "as needed" basis very troublesome, and some of the ports are un-reachable without partially removing the PSU. Personally, I blame bad case design for this. There's absolutely no reason that the drive cages shouldn't be completely removeable from the case. They just don't fit through the side openings. Long story short, make sure you have MORE than enough room in your case from front to back to be able to fit your fingers in and plug/unplug the modular power cables. Otherwise, you'll be removing components to change your power cables.I've been running with the power saving fan throttle option turned on. There are no problems with power delivery whatsoever. However, I'm not even close to maxing the load right now. I just have a Samsung 970-Pro M.2 pcie drive and Zotac Geforce RTX 3070 Ti running on the Asus TUF x570-Plus (Wi-Fi)...and an AIO water pump and 6x 120mm case fans. So...no exactly stressing a 1000w PSU.

Review of - EVGA 650 GQ Power Supply, 210-GQ-0650-V1, 80+ GOLD 650W, Semi Modular, ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Black-So far so good.-I first ran this psu unit 24/7 for a week hooked up to a PSU tester. Then I installed this psu into a computer build that has now been running 24/7 since completion.-The only output cable that is permanently wired is the 24-pin 12 volt line, with all other cables modular.-This PSU was on sale here at amazon, shipped and sold by amazon, at an amazing sale price that was 63% off MSRP according to amazon. This sale price from amazon was amazing!-At the sale price amazon sold this PSU, the features are amazing, including all black flat cables.-I have this psu installed in a "home theater" custom computer with an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G APU (no GPU, just using the integrated graphics), an Asus B450-F ii motherboard, a Crucial P5 500GB nvme system drive, and two 6TB cma NAS drives in mirror mode (appears to system as a single drive) to store on the "home theater" media.-One of the few things I wonder about, my only criticism of this psu, is that I wonder why the product's designer decided to put the "eco" mode switch tucked into the back/inside end of the PSU, where it is difficult to access and to check inside the computer's power supply shroud, when most others, even their own other modules, have the eco switch on the outside next to the power switch. Even so, this PSU is worth five stars at amazon's sale price.-Still so far so good, and running happily 24/7 in a custom computer build.-(updated - 2023 - September)This power supply continues to run well 2 years later, often running 24/7 for weeks at a time.-

I've had this PSU since 2016 and it's still going strong. Not being fully modular might not be great for people who want to use certain custom 24-pin ATX RGB, or special connectors, since the one from this unit is hardwired, but all other cables can be customized. Can't remember why I decided to get this and not keep using a 850W PSU I already had, but maybe I just wanted to be sure I had enough power for a 2070 card, but it has been doing great, even with minimal dusting, it has powered through for 5 years now without a problem. I'm even thinking of getting another one for a livestreaming PC since all I got is that 850W bronze PSU to spare.I guess my only issue, and this goes for many PSUs is that to save on resources, they give you connectors that can be split for when your system doesn't call for the entire connector, and to me that looks sloppy, but I guess people who really care about aesthetics will buy separate cables anyway, so there's no point in including more than what's absolutely necessary.

Likes: great value and excellent quality. Semi-modular is really the way to go, no need for full (unless you really require it for whatever reason) and definitely better than non modular. Is whisper quiet. I got this to replace the low quality PSU in a pre-built and the sound (and quality) difference is telling.Cons: don't like that so many of the connections are split, makes it difficult to plug this in tight spaces and can make for a less attractive build. They plug into the psu just fine, but they were pretty tight going into the motherboard, though that could be the motherboard and not the connectors. Cables are also a bit stiff and are bent unattractively out of the box, I suggest getting them out and trying to straighten them before installing.Final thoughts: cons are honestly minor gripes while the quality is excellent and the price here on Amazon very good. Highly recommend.
