The bowls are heavy, thick. Not at all flimsy. The little rubber feet helps it to stay put.

Would be better if it had a heavier base, but considering it is made of plastic it's ok.

My fat cat wasn't happy he couldn't chow down like he used to, which to me means bowl did its job. Good construction; easy to clean; cute to look at.

I debated for a long time about getting these - I have three cats, two of whom (out of three) eat too fast on a regular basis. At least once a week I was cleaning up the result of eating too fast - once even in the dish from which she was eating!! In addition, all of my felines could stand to lose a pound or so. I wish I hadn't spent so much time debating!! These things are awesome!! All of my cats took to them right away, and all three are eating less than they used to - bonus. Even better, the food that's put out lasts longer because they frequent the dishes multiple times a day rather than scarfing it all at once as was their custom. Only downside, and it's minor, is that the bottom is not solid and water gets trapped when you wash them. After the first time, though, I learned to stack them vertically in the dish rack. Oh, and I wish it came in more colors. :) LOVE THESE DISHES.

We have this bowl and another flat, divided mat-type bowl. This one is easier to fill (just add dry food and give a little shake and the food fills in the spaces) - the other you have to take your time to sprinkle food evenly in each space and it spills everywhere. It also makes much less mess when cats eat and doesn’t push the kibble all over the floor. It’s also easier to wash and can even go in the dishwasher. Was better price too! Win.
