Used these after hip replacement surgery and they fit the wound perfectly. I suggest cleaning your skin around the incision, not the incision itself, with alcohol to remove oils from your skin before applying for best waterproofness

Take your time removing the liner because these are super stretchy and have aggressive adhesive. They absorb a lot of wound drainage!

See my edit at the end for why I removed a star.These post-op surgical dressings are easy to apply and have a good barrier seal. They last for 2-3 days. When freshly applied they work to keep the wound sterile and dry in a shower.We got these on vine as a "Just in case" purchase (i am a medical professional) and part of me worries that I manifested a family emergency or perhaps it was divine providence that we got these when we did. In late january my daughter's recent growth issues were tracked to a severaly misaligned spine that required prompt correction with a spinal fusion surgery. Recovery has been tough but these dressings are EXACTLY the correct size for her healing scar giving a comfortable inch of clearance on every side. Her only complaint is that the dressing gets itchy (which frankly is unavoidable). We have used 3 of the 5-pack already and anticipate that we will run out about when they are unnecessary (the hospital-applied post-op dressing was good for almost 2 weeks but these are more like a giant bandaid and last a much shorter peroid of time).Edit: We did re-order these and have used them for an additional week and sadly I have to report that my daughter has become sensitized to the adhesive in them and can no longer wear them. We did get 3 weeks of service from 7 of these bandages but we cannot use the remainder of our second package. I have deducted 1 star because I understand that in some cases sensitization is unavoidable but also I had hoped they would have chosen adhesives carefulyl to avoid that and clearly it didn't work in our case.

Will keep surgical site dry through a shower. Like the fact the wound dressing and adhesive are one. Perfect for my lower back surgery!

We really loved this waterproof adhesive dressing. It sticks almost to well and pulled off one of the scabs. We placed gauze over the wound where their was a scab forming. loved the waterproof!!

Highly recommended for a portable emergency kit. It isn't suitable to deal with deeper gashes but it did a great job with a large road rash I got falling off a bike recently. The individual pieces come well packaged and it was easy to open and use. I feel like price wise you're better off getting gauze and tape for large gashes for a home kit but really good for something portable.
