Strong hard material protects me from snake bites. It is too hard. It wraps around my ankle just right.Top leg portion has an adjustment.....bottom has no adjustment.

We have about 4 acres of land here in Puerto Rico and I am also out there using a very high powered weed trimmer. Before I had these, flying rocks would hit me so hard in my chin while working. I ordered these and problem solved! They add great protection for the work that I am doing. LOVE THESE!! Very comfortable too.

Wish I got them sooner. These are just what I needed to protect my shins while splitting firewood. I’m short (5’4”) so they are a bit long/high up my calf, which might cause discomfort if walking. But they work well since I’m mostly stationary while using them.

The top straps can be adjusted but the bottom strap cannot be adjusted. I just barely was able to get it over my jeans. If you have thick legs don't but this one.

My boyfriend works in lawncare/landscaping. I noticed he had bruises and small abrasions on his shin and asked him about it. The weed wacker would occasionally sending gravel or rocks flying and hit him in the shins. These worked perfect for him. He's been using them to weed wack for about 3 months. After the first week, he didn't think they were working because he said nothing was hitting him. First day without them and he sure noticed when a chunk of gravel smacked into him. He said they worked so well he couldn't even tell that the gravel/rocks had been hitting them. He hasn't weed wacked with out them since. He has a slender build and they fit his calf perfect. They're the most stylish I've found and are great quality. They've held up super well these past 3 months. He says they are really comfortable to wear for his long shift.Bring me comfort to know he's safe from snakes too. I would highly recommend them. Worth the money!

These are maybe made for a child and are puncture proof but will leave a gap at the ankle which will not protect that area. Perhaps if worn with a good pair of boots that come up the leg there won't be any issues.

I was looking at an Australian made pair seeing as we have some very big snakes here. On of the top Aussie brands said there's were tested against all Australian snakes as well as US rattlers, which they state have the strongest bite force. So I found these that were apparently tested to the US snakes. They don't have the all around protections I thought they would, either that or my calf muscles are to big for them. Not sure I'd want even a small snake testing these out as the 'armour' doesn't feel that thick, but as I said, I haven't been bitten by a snake yet.... Until proven otherwise I'll take them at their word, certainly provides some much needed mental support when slogging through bracken and undergrowth where you can't see where your feet are going.

The snake gaiters by HunterArmor will NOT wrap around one's calf. Leaving a large exposed area from ankle to knee. Not for adults, may be for a child or someone w/ very small calf.

These snake gaiters are awesome!! I spend tons of time in the outdoors so I’ve been trying these out for a few weeks now to see if they would be good for work/hunting. I am an archaeologist that does land surveys, and this requires that I venture into thick brush in order to find archaeological sites. Last month I was extremely close to getting bit by a rattler after I stepped into some very thick vegetation and the experience had me looking for a set of snake gaiters. I always resisted buying a pair because work provides me with some, I never wore them as they were very uncomfortable, making it harder to move up steep slopes and climb over vegetation. I tried these gaiters on and they were waaaayyyy more comfortable than the thick leather gaiters work provides. I was a little concerned at first as the gaiters seemed kind of rigid, but sure enough, they broke in to be more comfortable in about two days and we’re completely broken in within four days. So far I’ve been using and abusing them for the last three weeks and they are holding up well. One of the biggest pluses about these gaiters is the back is shaped like your calves which adds to the comfort level. The biggest downside I think is there is no bottom strap to hold it to your boot, but that is easy to fix, and they are so much more comfortable than the work gaiters that it’s really a non-issue for me. These gaiters are so worth it! They give you the piece of mind that you will be ok if you run across a rattlesnake, but they are also comfortable and not a hinderance to the movements I need to do. I also an an avid hunter so these are going to come with me from now on when I go hunting in warmer weather. Wearing these also has the added benefit of keeping foxtails and other pokey things out of your boots! 5 out of 5 stars!
