Very good set of pliers. I thought the pliers were a boxset style but instead they are captured by a riveted piece. I have a similarly made HART brand pair that are significantly sloppier than these. In fact I am surprised at how tight the tolerances are for wobble. A bit of friction when sliding the lower jaws upward but I don’t think that is a bad thing. The button to press is a bit stiff but yet again not a significant issue. Teeth are sharp and grip is good. Wanted a comparable version of the tongue and groove style that knipex make as mine were stolen. Got a good replacement. I am very happy with my purchase and I plan on purchasing more ENGINEER brand tools! this is a Japanese product that was proudly made and now is proudly used by this Texan!

Great pliers. multiple functions in the pliers including screw removal. Note that the teeth on both sides are not parallel. Meaning depending on the rotation direction, you have to flip the pliers to grab on the object. Looking at teeth angle will give you idea on which direction to rotate (need to bite into object)

幅が調整できるので、ネジがつかめないと言うことが格段に減りました。グリップ部分も他の製品より大きくて力が入れやすいです。

At first, I thought they were defective, but I see that what happens with these is when you squeeze them down on something, the part supporting the adjustment teeth flexes just enough to slip out of place. This makes these pretty much useless as pliers.

I'll save your time and skip the (few) things about these that might be good. I wanted to like these because I carry 10" 'channellocks' everyday, and these have the screw extraction feature AND tighter adjustment graduations. However, the geometry of the adjustment teeth( the grooves) is not biased enough (or, at all) to keep them from slipping to the next largest openings. I like engineer pliers in general, but these are trash, and could seriously get someone hurt. I'd love to see a reiteration of these pliers-with locking geometry that works similar to other manufacturers; because the special thing about these is the grind in the jaws, nothing else- but I recommend everyone shy away from these.
