ENERLITES Illuminated Decorator Light Switch
The device with a backlit illumination whenever the lights are off, this decorator wall switch makes an excellent guiding light for locating the switch in the dark. The dim illumination can also be used as a night light, making this switch an excellent addition to children's bedrooms.
Illuminated Switch
This lighted wall switch is easy to install in standard junction boxes thanks to its shallow body design, and it doesn't require a neutral wire for installation. This means that it is compatible with most home wiring systems, in either new or old constructions.
Long-Lasting Quality
This paddle switch is made from high-quality Polycarbonate Thermoplastic (PCT) for its unrivaled resistance to heat and impacts. PCT withstands temperatures up to 140°C, preventing temperature damage such as fading and discoloration.
Matching Wall Plates
This wall switch is compatible with decorator-style wall plates, but ENERLITES wall plates are recommended for the best fit and color match (sold separately). Some recommended ENERLITES models include 8831-W, 7731M-W, 8731-ASV, and SI8831-W.

This item looks nice but is poorly designed. You shouldn't be able to see the LED light source directly, only its backlit light through the decora paddle but like a laser beacon aimed at your face this thing hits you every time you walk by.

Don’t waste your money. Light is not visible unless you are looking straight at it even in full dark conditions.If you reference the pictures, can you see any difference between the switches? No! This is a side view which you will normally be approaching your switch from the side not straight on.The second picture is straight on and the only way to see the light at night.There are much better options out there. The only reason I purchased this one is for the grey colour. I will keep looking for a better option.

I am an electrician and installed this switch properly and in less than a week, the built in light shut off and has not worked since.. very disappointing product.

The instructions show the switch being wired to short the hot black wire with a white “ neutral “ wire.This will blow the fuse or trip the breaker and possibly could damage the switch.This is not how the switch should be wired. A switch of this type only affects the hot side of the circuit not the neutral.

I installed them about 2 months ago and am very pleased so far. The illumination is sufficient but not as bright as the LED plug in night lights. The light sensor works well. The only thing you have to adjust to is that because the light is in the bottom of the rocker switch, the switch needs to be in the "on" position for illumination to come on. Otherwise, very nice and a great value compared to the name brands' illuminated rocker switch.

It's kinda weird - but these are so comforting. It's nice to see the light switch lit on the wall in a dark hallway or room. Hubby reports they were easy to install - but he is a skilled electrician. He says if you have a minimum understanding of electrical switches you can install these. (not me - I'd hire somebody - just being honest). Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
