Always used name brand hoops. But after waiting months to get a small one I decided to take a chance. Works perfectly, machine was able to read the hoop size. Yes I’ve heard can cause issues, really don’t see a problem

Just added one more hoop to my collection. Wanted two 80mm hoops when I embroidered baptismal scarf’s for our church. That makes the work faster and I don’t just sit and wait for one to get done before setting up the next embroidery.

When I placed it into the machine the screen would not display correctly. A friend let me borrow a real Viking hoop and it worked. Placed this hoop back into the machine and same issue. Viking must have a proprietary chip in their hoops and this one does not.
