It’s the part number the manufacturer said I needed, although it is clearly visually not the exact same part as the old one in the machine I was working on… but it worked! The drinking fountain gets cold again!If, like me, you are just some vaguely-handy schlub with no idea what you’re doing, it is important to not that the bit that looks like a long wire is in fact a hollow tube of quite thin material, and crushes easily if, for example, grasped with pliers (even with something cushioning the pliers jaws) while trying to push it into place. Fortunately I was able to squeeze it the other way and reopen the tube, or else it just wasn’t crushed to the point of being closed.

Water fountain selinoid valve wasn't holding. Replaced with this and everything works properly.

my 33 year old water fountain is back to giving me great water if anyone has a cooler that wont shut compressor off get this a regular fridge thermostat wont work
