This listing is for a brand new set of screw-in rocker arm studs. Set includes 16 studs with shoulders. These are compatible replacements for the stock style press-in studs on small block Chevy V8 engines without having to machine the stud boss down on the head. Just pull the old studs and tap the holes to 7/16"-14 coarse threads. 3/8"-24 Fine thread TOPS and 7/16"-14 Coarse thread Bottoms. 2.325" Overall stud length. 1.600" Stud height 0.725" Screw-in thread depth.

no one makes screw rocker studs for AMC heads so the chevy ones work well. the 7/16th part is .015 longer than the stock amc studs so ya can run guild plates without more head work. don't forget the lock tight and tourqu them to speck and ya good to go. im running 1.6 full roller rockers and a stiff springs for over 6500 rpm and i wil be running a guerdle. .... just so i sleep better at night.

These seem to be decent studs, but were advertised to fit a sb Chevy 350 Vortec head without the need to machine the stud bosses. This is false. The integrated nut on the stud does not leave enough room to tighten the rocker down far enough. Either the stud must be machined or longer pushrods installed. However, the overall height is still considerably higher than the original press-in studs. I did not try reinstalling the valve cover, but I suspect it might not fit because of the increased height of the studs. I should have checked other sellers before buying because every one of them states that the bosses must be machined for these studs to work. I had to order another set of screw-in studs without the integrated nut since I'd already tapped the holes.
