Living in a Historic District home and being able to get this type of Millwork goes a long way towards maintaining the character of our home. I have never been disapointed with the product I recieve.

I ordered this product, supposed to be a pair. I received one half of the pair. So I returned it and reordered. This time I received a pair...of the wrong size! Supposed to be over 11" long (the first half pair was this size) this pair is 9" long. This company must have a mess in their warehouse. Don't order unless you have the patience and the time to continually reorder and return.

I recently ordered a load of these types of pieces (incl. two sets of these "grapevine" carvings in one of the intermediate sizes) for use in a number of projects, both interior and exterior. I've also written a pretty extensive review of one of the styles I bought and everything I said therein goes for these as well.These pieces are gorgeous, intricately carved in high relief and carved to a very high level of finish. Even used on a piece of "fine furniture", they would require little, if any finish sanding and are pretty much usable "as is", right out of the box. Altho' some of the ones I've purchased are made of oak or some other, specified wood, I'm not sure of what wood these are made. They appear to be made of a very fine grained, hard wood, compatible with everything from ash and poplar to maple and the various fruitwoods, and, with proper finishing, even with "grainier" woods such as oak. They will take paint, varnish, stain, urethane (incl. color enhanced urethanes, such as Minwax All in One) and are suitable (properly finished) for both indoor and exterior use.I have been doing woodworking for decades and these carvings are an absolute Godsend, far superior to the old, low relief, pressed wood pieces which were all that was available even a decade or so ago. The level of detail, the design, the quality of the wood and the work are simply unbelievable - and triply unbelievable given the low price of these things. I am now able to do pieces I'd never have dreamed of tackling in the past and the few pieces I've completed, to date, using these types of appliques have elicited rants and raves. It's a whole new lease on life for my woodworking, allowing me to do things and to get effects impossible even a few years previously. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these particular pieces or the other and similar offerings on sale here. It's all just superb stuff and you will be impressed.

Delivered in perfect condition and super fast! They feel very smooth and lightweight. Easy to paint or stain and simple to mount with wood glue or small nails! Worth the price!
