This corbel is a great inexpensive option, you will need to do some fixing. Unless you are looking for rustic and originality.A good cobel made from good quality wood or from good craftsmanship cost triple and more, up in the hundreds. In order to pay less you have to search in antique shops or yards sales of old house, and what you find will have a 100 years of leyers of paint, or just get this one, is a great option to buy them at a great price. The only Con is how they are presented here, the images are computer images of a perfect looking corbel, what you get varies in color, wood and structure. The wood is of poor quality and the craftsmanship is nothing like pictured, is even sloppy made. But at this prices I'm wheeling to look over the sloppy and cheap wood, do some fixing with filling, sanding, wood glue, and nothing that some paint can't disguise. My suggestion is to look at the pictures in the reviews, you get a rralistic picture of what you are going to get and the potential they have.Again is a good option but still some good work is needed to make it look decent, just don't go by the images, that is not what you're going to get. With that being said I still went and order a second one, later on after fixing, gluing, sanding and painting I will post pictures of the end result. All measurements are to the point and accurate.Update: second one arrive, same ruffness and unfinished with pencil lines and nails holes but less mistreated wood. Again, nothing like pictured but still worth the 31 bucks + tax.In reality wood is expensive and you need expensive tools to form and shape some of this cuts.

I ordered two of these as a birthday gift to my sister. Although they're rough sawn, one of the corbels had a huge unsightly hole right on the side of it (last photo). If it was located on top or hidden somehow, I would've gladly excepted it. Amazon exchanged it seamlessly and painlessly and I have up to 30 days to return the unwanted corbel. I'm happy and so is my sister. Thanks!

Not worth the money. Cheap wood, poor quality control. Waste of money.

Upon receiving this product I noticed that it looked like scrap fence boards put together with a 4x4 piece. The 6x1 piece was not flat it was bowed as shown in the picture so it was unusable, the 6x1’s were not put together flat so there was a gap as shown, and it had a nail sticking out the back which cut my finger when I pulled it out of the box. Overall bad quality control and not what I expected from the reviews I read.

I redid my fireplace mantle and these corbels were perfect. I did paint them dark brown. I am happy with the way they turned out.

These smell great upon arrival if you like the smell of wood. After sanding and finishing they show the - Different Types of Wood Grain Patterns in the Corbels.

Seems like it was made quickly without attention to details, still had pencil marks on it. It ended up looking way too small for the space we intended it for so we never used it.

Beautiful! I use these outside under a window with a wooden plant shelf & planter box. Rustic & great size.
