I like to grow my own herbs from seed. I found some years ago that this works well in test tubes. You fill the tube half way with starter soil and drop the seed in and either cover or not depending on the variety and species. Then a few drops of moisture and in usually less than normal time it germinates.Kind of hard to do without a test tube rack. My old one was rickety and fell apart after three seasons so I ordered this one. I have tested this with seedlings and it worked perfectly. I just set it on my window sill and in days I had seedlings. And this one is not rickety. I imagine this will be the last rack I will ever need.I highly recommend this to hold test tubes for an extended period of time where you won't be handling it daily or more frequently.

This test tube rack is very basic and it does only exactly what you would expect. It stands up on its own, and it holds test tubes in the appropriately sized slots. The finish is not anything impressive, and it's not fancy in any way. It gets the job done, and that's it.
