These are much larger than listed. They will take up a lot of space in my small garden. That being said, they are very sturdy and made with a thick plastic that should last several seasons. I have cutting worms in my garden and need to protect the stems of my plants when planting or they get cut off at the top of the soil. These will prevent that from happening. They will allow for easy watering so the water is concentrated around the roots. It's not planting time yet, so I won't know how well they really work until then. But I anticipate they will be a great asset to my garden.

I made some of these out of plastic gallon jugs and they worked out well but the sun breaks them down pretty quick. I saw these and jumped on them right away. They are made of polypropylene which is BPA free. The polypropylene is not uv resistant and subject to breakdown as well but these are much thicker than the jugs and hoping they will last longer. The wavy edges help ease the rings into the dirt. I leave just a quarter inch lip above the dirt line and it works great keeping the water centralized. It really helps on the water bill so that I am not putting water in the planter where it does not need to be.

I love how easy these go in the ground, and they really make it a breeze to mark which plant is what. I'm using them to mark my squash in the garden so they don't accidentally get mowed

I had thought I'd ordered the smaller set, so I was surprised to see the larger ones. That's okay, I think these will work well when it comes time for watering. These slip easily into the ground. I like the idea of being able to put diatomaceous earth around them to help discourage earwigs, slugs, etc., and the barrier should work well for cutworms, as well. At nearly $29 for six, they feel a bit high in price, though, especially as they make no mention of being UV resistant. Four-and-a-half stars.

The plant rings are large enough (10" diameter) to allow a shallow rooting plant to expand at an early stage of growing. Material feels thick and sturdy and hopefully lasts a few seasons. My main goal is to prevent cutworms, that I have plenty in my garden, to kill my seedings. It's not a planting season in my area yet. I'll update if any changes.

Live in Florida and between the sand and hot weather its impossible to get plants moist. I put the collars on and now the water stays on the plant. I really think these will help reduce the amount I have to water this summer.
