Your cart is empty.The Earthquake Chipper Shredder K32 features a compact, portable design and is the ideal height for operation, the right geometry for easy transport, and compact for efficient storage. The unit stands 51” tall, so there is no need to lift material over your head. The handlebar is angled to put the center of gravity directly above the wheels for stability during transport. The compact, square shape of the unit gives it a small footprint in the garage. Many chipper shredders have wheels fitted with inflated tires. The downside with these wheels is that they can go flat. The Earthquake wheels will never go flat, so they are ready to roll when you are. Additionally, the 11” wheels on the Earthquake are large enough in diameter to tackle ruts and grooves en route to the work site. Made with tough, durable components, the Earthquake K32 is made to last. The rugged steel hopper is designed to efficiently feed plant matter into the grinding chamber and to withstand the bangs and bumps that occur when working with large limbs. Also, in the grinding chamber the tri- and j-hammers will reduce material drastically. This chipper is strong enough to power through 3” diameter branches and masses of leaves and twigs. Many chipper shredders don’t include a debris bag. Earthquake not only includes a bag as standard equipment; it also has features not seen elsewhere that make it the easiest bag to use in the industry. Among its features are a Bottom-Out zipper, rugged fabric handles for carrying, and a Dock-and-Lock bag connector that allows you to connect your bag to the unit securely and remove it quickly. Earthquake is one of the only products on the market that offers an optional vacuum kit. Jobs like leaf clean-up, and grass-clipping are just some of the tasks a vacuum kit can make easier. It is a powerful machine until it falls apart. After first uses the muffler cracked and fell off. Company replaced quickly but that one broke as well. If I was not a welder this machine would have fallen apart. Cheap steel falls apart cracks or brakes you have to keep up on the maintenance bolts fall out. Fly wheel came off and broke bolts. Muffler and wheel broke off today I’m done. If you can keep it together it eat through the wood.

Edited Jan 2024. Original review @ Feb 2023. The GOOD: This is a branch eating, leaf chewing, twig grinding monster! See pic of the results of leaves branches and twigs chewed up by the machine. I’ve run it for about a week straight now and am pleased with its compact design and mechanical performance.The BAD: 1: The PLASTIC connector cracked/ broke (see pic) I tried to repair it with epoxy but It didn’t really hold together. That’s a crucial part if you want to catch the ejected debris from the machine. Replacement cost is @ $37 plus shipping.2: The bag threading is coming undone (see pic) They used a light gauge thread where I would recommend a heavy duty nylon thread with double or triple stitching. To replace the bag it’ll cost @ $134 unless you have some sewing skills.3. In October 2023 as I was inspecting the machine I bought in Feb 2023 up for Fall work I discovered the welds on the leaf hopper were coming apart. It was difficult establishing communications with the CS dept but eventually I did and was promised a replacement hopper by December 2023. It’s now Jan 2024 and still no hopper.4. The cutters go dull after one season and the design requires you to purchase special locking devices for the bolts that secure the cutters.1 star for poor quality and poor customer service.The performace is 4 starsMaterial quality is 1 starsWarranty Support 1 starOverall rating is 1 stars.

Shipping was fast. It was fairly easy to assemble. Runs great, started on the first pull. Does exactly what I needed, chipped up tons of limbs, pine needles and dry pine cones. It makes perfectly sized mulch.Only one con, it takes a strong pull to start it, but I am sure that is needed for it to function.So far I am thrilled with this purchase. It’s actually fun to use and nowhere near as noisy as I expected.

A couple of months of use and so far so good. Assembly is a little tricky, take your time, ID all the parts, read other reviewers tips on assembly will help. The unit is easy to start and seems to have plenty of power.After a couple of months of light use the plastic ring on the bag broke. It only important if you want to use the bag in the unit. Replacement price is high so use caution ordering this unit.

When I bought this product I wished I had bought the one with the bigger engine. But after trying this unit out the engine is plenty big enough for my needs. This unit chops the limbs into small enough pieces that you can use the clippings as mulch a great little machine. But watch out for the shipping. The unit come partially damaged in shipment. I had to bend and straighten the bottom of the hopper where it connects to the rest of the machine. It came with a guard that is supposed protect the the mounting bracket of the hopper. But it came off during shipping therefore the mounting bracket got damaged during shipping. I thought it was easier to fix it myself then to ship it back or wait for the part.

Update:Manufacturer is shipping a replacement part. I assume it is the air cleaner assembly, but no message from the companyThis chipper/shredder works very well for shredding. Chipping gets clogged when have leaves present on limbs.Product arrived damaged - the air cleaner housing has broken tabs .and one side of feeder chute flange was bentThe instructions do not reflect assembly reality, part assembly steps are missing
