This water is great for 2 to 3 chickens that I had to put in quarantine before adding them to my flock.I would definitely hang the water up where it suspended in the air instead of sitting on the ground where the chickens are gonna throw all kinds of things into the water making it trashy. It is a much better choice.

i've used this 2 1/2 gal. waterer for 6+ months, I like the size * (I could'nt use a 5 gal. in the space alotted). The base is a little thin walled, but has a tight fit. I don't like that you can't tell where the slots are by looking from the bottom of the base. *(It makes it hard to line up to twist onto the waterers bottom). The waterer"s white plastic is Very Thin & Flimsy when lifting to flip, it also makes it hard to line up to the bases slots- as the tabs on the waterer are not a perfect round because of the thin walls. *(I have found that if i put my fingers on the sides of the base to line up the slots and push down gently & turn, it works good- experience has shown me test that all 3 slots caught), before Quickly flipping over to place on a Level 2ft. x 2ft. stepping stone* (that I elevated on bricks to make the watterer the correct height for my Bantam Chickens) I would suggest these or cement blocks to adjust height for taller birds as the plastic Handle/Hanger is not able to hold the weight properly as the sides would give. With all of this being said, I Like that it is easy to Clean using a narrow scrub brush and has held up with daily use after I have gotten used to its quirks- it has worked for what i have needed it to do

This is a good size but you have to be very careful when you fill it to make sure it has been completely closed before you turn it upright or it dumps out all over otherwise it's fine.

This is soooo much better than filling up one gallon containers EVERY day. I can fill this one twice a week and it works great. The side walls are high enough to keep dirt out. Wish I had gotten this sooner. Its great.

Tough and durable. Easy to fill and easy to clean. You do need several because the hens can knock it over. I use these because there are doves here that bathe in bowls of water! They have to work a lot harder to poop in the narrow trough of the waterer.

Not happy at all with this product. The bottom comes off and you have water going everywhere. It is an especially huge mess when it happens in the duck house.
