Ok on the 2002 Jeep Liberty the speedo quit working and set a P0500 VSS code, The Jeep has a input and output sensor both are the same part # I would have ordered 2 of these and replaced them both but took a guess and replaced the output sensor, cleared the codes and it's working again!

So my 2000 Dakota had the money light on with the p0720 (Output Speed Sensor Malfunction) code after it literally slammed in and out of overdrive 4 times while driving down the highway yesterday. It eventually fell out of OD and the motor was way up past 3,000 rpm just to be able to hold a steady 60 mph on my way home. I then got numerous driveability issues including rough idle, HARSH shifting and gear hunting as well.I had to overnight this speed sensor from amazon due to my local parts stores being out of stock. Not to mention the parts store brands are junk. Amazon shipped it very quickly and it arrived in perfect shape!Removing the old sensor and installing this one was a breeze. Putting some ATF on the o-ring makes pushing the new sensor in much easier. After the install I instantly had normal transmission operation again and the MIL on the dash went away within 2 miles and a couple of key cycles. This dorman sensor seems well made and looked just like the OEM sensor that it replaced. I ordered a 2nd sensor since I figured since my output sensor just died, the input sensor is probably on it's way out. Also, the input and output sensors use the same sensor. So for the price, you can't beat it.Amazon came through again when the local parts stores couldn't!

does it work? who knows... probably. but certainly not on the NAG1 transmission that comes in my 06 dodge magnum. amazon stops short of asking anything specific about transmissions and just says this will fit. so research just a touch further before ordering.i will, however, say... this part appears to be solid and of high quality... it just doesnt fit in my car

Could not believe how much cheaper on Amazon for same exact part from AutoZone. Works just fine and eliminated rough shift and check engine light. My car needed 2 of these ( 2003 Jeep Liberty) saved 45$. Very fast shipping too.

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, one day the transmission started shifting rough and my check engine light came on. I have a code reader, and with that and some internet searching I determined I needed to replace my transmission speed sensors. My transmission uses 2 of these sensors, to be safe I replaced both. Took about 10 minutes to remove and replace both sensors, hardest part was working in the tight space where they needed to go in/out. I have maybe 3K miles on these, no issues so far. I have had good experiences with several Dorman products for this jeep now, good luck!
