Quick delivery. Quality part along the lines of OEM. Installation on a scale of 4 out of 5. Less than 30 minutes. The hardest part is transferring the window motor from the old to the new unit (comes with new screws). Excellent value.

Just replaced the rear right window regulator. This Doorman is exact fit, all holes lined up. Doorman supplied three screws for the motor mounting. I found it too tight and reused the old screws instead. Before you mount the motor , very important to move the window clip into the opening of the bracket. In this way you can just drop the window down to its place. If you don’t do this step, once the motor is mounted you can’t move the position of the clip and the window glass will not mount. For aftermarket window regulator I like TYC but TYC don’t make one for the E90 rear window. I also used Doorman in the past for Honda car. The first one lasted 8 years and the second one is on its 6 years. Good luck

If you own a BMW you know about replacing these regulators from time to time. I’ve never had to replace a doorman regulator after the stock one failed. Have multiple 3 series so I have had to replace the stock regulators frequently. These work well for the do it yourself’ers.

As Some reviews with 3 or more stars state that this is a better quality product than OEM and are satisfied they either got lucky or haven’t had the product for enough time to realize that the quality of this product is cheap and not worth the money. I bought this product in late may of 2017 and within a year today (05/09/18) the coil on the regulator jammed and broke. Now this is on my back right passenger seat and I m the only one that uses this car, In total I guarantee I rolled that window less than 10 times, so there’s no way it could be excessive wear and tear . So while It may seem to work for a bit beware eventually the cheap plastics will wear out. That’s why there’s only a LIMITED lifetime guarantee. I suggest passing on this product .

Put in my BMW, works fine :). Remember you will have to calibrate the window when you install the new regulator. It will only roll 1/2 way down when you first install this regulator. You can search youtube or the web on how to do this (nothing extra is needed).

I own 3 BMWs. With BMW OEM parts you are paying for the name and not always the quality. BMW window regulators are notorious for failure so why keep replacing them with high priced parts that keep failing? This regulator fits perfectly, works perfectly, and hopefully will last far longer than the OEM. Being that Dorman re-engineers the bugs out of OEM parts, I'm confident that it will last.UPDATE 02/20/2016: I replaced my regulator on 5/26/14. Since then, the only time I actually used the window was to test it after installation. Yesterday I rolled down the window and the cable uncoiled. So while It initially appeared that Dorman had effectively re-engineered a better part, the fact is that the Dorman part performed no better than OEM in my instance. For now, I drilled a hole in the guide channel and put a set screw in place to hold the window up. I disconnected power so that it cannot be rolled down accidentally. It seems that BMW window regulators are a lose/lose proposition. Since I never use the rear windows anyway, I don't care.
