This is garbage. After a few weeks of use, the joint where the platform attaches to the hitch had cracking and visible sagging. Another week or so later I went to get out of my truck, stepped on it and the whole platform piece broke right off. Once it fell off, I was able to see why- the metal is super thin. I’m 170lbs and it did not last with infrequent use.

The style of this step is nice. Your toes fit in between the two sections. But the quality of the metal sucks. Im around 200 pounds and it broke in about a weeks time. And I did not abuse it in any way.

I bought this step because I believed it would be just what I needed to get up in and out of my truck mounted camper. It appeared to be strong and well built and it was easy to install putting it into the receiver hitch. It worked well at first but about the 3rd time I used it I stepped on the lower step and the step unit began breaking away from receiver and dropped down almost breaking completely off. When it went down the upper step came down and hit hard on my right leg shin fracturing my shin bone.This product is not built correctly and the step part is built with too thin material. The receiver is heavy enough but the tubular material that the steps are mounted on is too thin and is not strong enough to support weights more than maybe 100 lbs. The weld where the receiver attaches to the thin step broke away just from normal use. The step broke completely off the receiver.This step is so inferior in material quality and workmanship that it should not be used in the manner that it was designed to be used. If you have not purchased one of these yet but are thinking about getting one, do not get one. They are a waste of money. If you already have one of these steps, stop using it as a step immediately, they are not safe and dangerous and can cause serious injury. These steps should be taken off the market.

Great looking step. It's a nice touch that it comes with a hitch-pin and anti-rattle bracket.

Love the step, short girl needs help, lol.The box was a bit ripped and beaten up. The cotter pin and one nut off the u-bolt was missing. Otherwise, I love it! I had ordered a master lock, so it is secure.

For all the people complaining about it being flimsy must not understand how the bracket works. Installed in less than 5 minutes and it looks and feels great. Not the most symmetrical or center piece, but exactly what i needed for a good price.

Bought this for my boyfriend's 2007 Tahoe. Bigger than what I expected but perfect size for his Tahoe. He absolutely loved it! Looks fantastic and makes a bold statement! If you have a large SUV or truck this hitch step is perfect!

The Step Bar has worked very well. Sturdy & solid, with a nice appearance. Highly recommend. Only little drawback is that, because it sticks out a bit from the rear bumper, be careful backing up, as most vehicle backup cameras & warning devices use the rear bumper, as the origin of the warning distance.

On my Ridgeline I now have something showing a part of the truck in the reverse camera. Makes me feel a bit better though I tested how far all the lines are from the truck. Reason for buying it besides the convenient step is to put some heavy metal back there to act as a bumper incase I get a little tap. Due to design I have no fear of busting my shins when I am back there.
