I was doing a little work on electrical when adding some new switches in the house. I used this multimeter tester for the project and everything worked for me. At the current price, it's a deal if you are needing this tool.

This is the first hand held meter that has a clamp on current measurement capability that I've owned. I'm very pleased with it so far. I also like the accessor probes that come with it. They are a bit unusual (to me at least) in that they have long metal probes that are covered by removable insulating probe tips. This enables easy use to probe outlet sockets (with the insulating probe tips removed) or probing more dense circuitry with the insulating probe tips on without worrying about shorting across something inadvertently.Additional functions like diode test, and the non-contact voltage detect round out the feature set in a great way.NOTE: the clamp on current meter function is designed to be used to measure the current flow in ONE CONDUCTOR at a time. If you put more than one conductor inside the clamp you will get the net current flow (which could show as zero!) So use it to measure the current in ONE conductor of a cable set at a time.

Purchased this meter to do some minimal checks and it does not work.

This Mastfuyi brand auto ranging clamp meter has just about every function a basic home use unit should have. Only thing it is lacking is the ability to measure DC current (amperage) but that is not a deal-breaker and in fairness the seller does not claim it has that ability.The unit itself is nice and compact – fits comfortably in the hand. Has some weight to it but not overly heavy, more of a solid feel to it. The dial has nice positive detents for selecting each function. The LCD screen is lit and large enough for easy reading. The included probes are longer than average for a budget meter – they measure a little over 24 inches not including the grip or tip. The probe wire seems to be of respectable size and the connectors fit snugly into the meter.The included instructions are not the best so if you don’t have some prior experience with using a clamp meter it might be worth your time to read up or take in a few videos to get up to speed.I tested the voltage (both AC and DC) functions, AC Current (amperage), resistance, and continuity functions and all worked as advertised. Voltage and current readings were off slightly from my much more expensive Fluke meter but not obnoxiously so. And, realistically, you should not be buying an entry level clamp meter if you need super high accuracy anyway.The non-contact voltage sensing function worked well and was more sensitive than I was expecting at this price point. This is something every home electrical project warrior should have – it may save your life some day.Includes 2 AAA batteries of unknown origin and quality. I put something better in from the start.Has no carrying case or pouch. Would be nice if it did but I don’t know that I would (or should) expect one to be included at the price this meter sells at.Overall, a solid product that is fairly and accurately described by the seller and functions as it is supposed to. This multimeter ticks all the boxes for a great compact multimeter with clamp at an affordable price. I had been looking for a replacement to my old compact multimeter that I use at home, its cables had started to break and fatigue plus it was a weird shape and awkward, screen was dull and difficult to see/read.In my search I found this little gem. It does everything you would need, Voltage measuring (both AC/DC), current, resistance, continuity, etc. It comes with a very nice set of cables as well. The screen is backlit so there is no guesswork or fidgeting with the meter to read the screen. It is also quite compact which helps it fit nicely into my tool bag.Overall, a winner. I recommend it.

I used to do a lot of electronic stuff, but the years have left me behind. I used to use 3 or 4 meters to do what this does. But like phones things have gotten smaller and condensed. I just needed a simple volt meter but thought why not try something new. If you are just starting out, then go for it. This should last you through your learning and training today and tomorrow. If you really just need to know if you have enough volts coming through the wire I might suggest stepping down to an old analog. Quick and simple meter. I will say after playing with this I won't need another meter. It will do everything I can think of and more, and it looks like it will last. Be aware like all meters the manual is there just to let you know which button is which it does not really tell you how to do things with it. So if you are new at this, look for a good book on how to use a meter.

This is a really small clamp meter that's easy to keep on hand. It will test the amps or voltage of wires accurately. It also has a non contact voltage meter that replaces carrying a separate device for that function. The contacts for testing circuits are also handy to have. Overall it's a full-feature set at a really good price.

First one display was messed up Amazon made the replacement process super easy, but the replacement has been awesome I love it
