The shirt is fine. The size chart they use is horrible. I measured and, per the chart, ordered a XXL. I can't wear it, WAY too loose. Size down when ordering.

I ordered this for my husband who is a baseball umpire. He typically wears just a compression shirt under his plate gear, but I thought this would provide added protection. What's great is this has protection in places his gear doesn't cover -- ribs, shoulders. It's lightweight, which is important in Texas heat. It's a little longer than he expected, perhaps because it's designed for football? It has tails that kind of fall long and oddly, but it's manageable. It comes with very clear directions about cleaning as well.

I'm a tall skinny person who has problems finding clothing items long enough. This product while it seems like it would work great for more built people, is not a product that would work great for me because it is too loose. Please consider making LT or XLT products for your customers.

Ready for action, go ahead punch me right here, or here, or here. I'll be mighty sore if this thing is out on laundry day when I take an unexpected one right to the chest. I guess I have a little padding all over that will just have to do, but if I have knowledge that it's going to be a full-contact kind of day, you know what I'll be wearing. And I have the shorts, double trouble. They show a guy parading around in this gear, but I don't know if one is expected to dress like that or that's just a dramatic reenactment. I tried it for a minute with the shorts but I didn't feel right stepping outside the house and donned shorts over the shorts. The shirt may be able to go either way, but I'm not really the sleeveless type, so under or over is ok, but there will most likely be another layer involved. Is that ok? A concealed defensive weapon. I think it's ok.Good for any activity where you might take one for the team. It might not even be your team. It might be meant for someone else, maybe they look like you, maybe not. Be prepared. Not exactly comfortable, but not bad. You might regret wearing it all day and not getting hit in the padding, but think of the alternative.

This chest protector is comfortable and provides solid protection. I’ve used it for softball, and it absorbs impact really well without being too bulky. Definitely worth it for anyone playing contact sports.
