These are good cables with a sturdy loop. They are pliable and move pretty good. They do NOT come with a lock - you need your own lock. They have a coating so they should be okay outdoors and they don't scratch you. They are long, I was using them to lock a gate and had to loop them around a few times and it worked good. Arrived quickly and as described.

I bought these because I wanted something lightweight yet strong enough to hold an LED light light bar so that I could submerse it over the side of my boat in the description of the LED bar it said it was functional in 6 ft of water or less. These are absolutely perfect for what I intend to use them for

I bought these to hang treats and toys in my chicken pen to keep them occupied. The pen is 10x10, and these are a bit shorter than that. I should have gotten them a little longer. But I was still able to make these work without an hassle. They are durable and strong. I would recommend them.

The cable is plastic coated, which is good for outdoor applications and minimize risk of scratching painted surfaces. The ferrule appears to be properly crimped with a die. Great for light duty security -- creating a psychological barrier.HOWEVER, the cable was looped through the ferrule with the plastic coating (not removed), so the inner barrel of the ferrule against the plastic and not the cable directly. Consequently, this will be a weak point under load. The plastic will eventually fail and the cable will pull through with aging exposure to the elements and peak loading.

I wanted to shift a rock in my backyard garden bed by 2-3 feet. The rock does not weigh more than 200 pounds but I have a bad back so thought I'd use a winch and shift the rock by 2-3 feet so I used this cable to anchor the winch and pull the rock with a sling on the other side. The rock did not even move an inch because the loops on this cable gave way as soon as i started pulling. It's weight rating is probably 100 pounds. Also not I was not lifting the rock but rather just pulling it. Don't buy this if you intend to use it for pulling anything above 100 pounds

I purchased these cables to use on a lat machine to perform triceps exercises, because the working load was listed as 375lb, and because I was going to be using a lot less weight than that, ever, and while performing triceps pushdowns with a load of 35lb the cable broke!Luckily all I suffered was a jarred neck muscle, but I dread to think what would have happened if I had been doing lat pulled downs using a much heavier weight, although still below the given amount of 375lb by the supplier! When I tried to return the item I was told to re-package it and print off a label and instructions, and then I had to find a UPS drop-off point, which turned out to be about three miles walk away, and as I am isolating, due to the pandemic, so I am unable to do so...
