I got this and just another grinder around the shop and it has been a life saver on multiple accounts with odd tight spots that all the other grinders cant get, this one has room to spare most times it’s pretty awesome, not to mention the guard comes off with out taking the wheel off! Showed the old timer Millwright that lil trick and his jaw dropped(almost every one i show does it) lets just say dewalt killed this build

I like everything about this grinder. I needed it and have been using it from the day it arrived. Like any cordless power tool it will drain the battery fairly quickly if you are using it for hard work. Grinding metal or cutting thick things that pinch the blade it drains my battery in 1 to 2 hours but it's still long enuff to swap batteries on the charger. For normal use the battery last for hours of work.

Much thinner head than a standard angle grinder. Gets in tight corners well. Had the same great kick back brake as the standard 20v xr one. What really blew my expectations on this one is how they designed the removable guard. The only grinder I've ever used where you don't have to take the disc off the arbor to put the guard on and off. Especially given the application for using a flathead in the first place is usually driven by needing to get into tight spaces.

Light years better than my old 18v angle grinder. Nicely balanced, paddle switch is way better than the old conventional trigger. Finally even tho its a liitle more than the non “flathead” grinder, being able to get into tight corners with a cutoff wheel or wire brush is totes worth it.
