I used this as a replacement water pump in my RV. The old one started leaking and it was time to replace it. Installation was a breeze as it was a direct fit. The pump is sturdy and has vibration-dampening mounts on the feet to keep noise to a minimum. Setting the cut-off pressure and bypass pressure are also easy and is done using the provided allen key. I did have some trouble getting the optimal pressure vs bypass balance set properly and this is where the pump really surprised me. It's customer service. I had one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had with the pump manufacturer through Amazon's system. They really wanted to help me get things properly set up and that made buying this pump completely worth it.

I love this pump well for about a week before the pressure switch stops working and the pump just runs none stop. I am on my second now, and I had my fingers crossed but nope, broke again just like the first. I have decided to try for the 3x is a charm dream. Hope it’s true!FYI- so before I returned my second pump I wrote Customerservice and they told me to turn the pressure switch screw clockwise to get it to work, and it in fact Did Not Work, so, I took it upon myself to go back to where I started from and turn it counterclockwise and after a 1/2 turn of the screw it works great now!Very happy as I love this pump when it works as expected. You will need to remove the one screw holding the cover on. It is the cover in the center of the pump where the two red wires go into, not the small one that is off to one side. You will need a very small Allen wrench tho, not a Phillips head screwdriver.
I get exactly what I ordered thanks to

It made it to one day outside (total of.one month) of the return window. So a win for the seller? This replaced one that lasted 5 months, which replaced one that lasted 4 months. Why did I buy again (and again)? Because the higher end one that looks identical and cost 4 times as much only lasted 6 months. Which replaced a pump that lasted.... 34 years. Really. We have a sailboat and used this for the fresh water for sinks... so not a high volume use. My working theory which did not pan out was why spend 4x as much if that won't last either... so now I'm pondering manual pumps. So some details... last 2 pumps have blown their internal seals and shoot water out of the back of the pump. Wasting precious water down into the bildge. (Water on some islands can be $0.50-$0.75 per gallon from the spigot. Even in the Florida keys it can be $0.20/gallon in some places). Utterly disappointing. So of you are looking for a pump that under light duty lasts 1-5 months before becoming useless this might be the pump for you.

I bought two of these. One pumps rainwater from a tank in my garden through my drip irrigation, powered by solar panels. The second moves rainwater from rain barrels at my house (which sits in a depression) uphill to the garden rain tank.I haven't run either for that many hours so I don't know about longevity, but they have no problem providing the advertised suction, pressure and flow. They do make some noise while working, but it's not that loud, and both are in places I don't care about noise. These pumps have a few convenient features if you're shopping for reasons other than an RV. They have two adjustment knobs inside the control box (have to unscrew it). One allows you to adjust the pressure switch (default 45 PSI). The pump will turn off once that pressure is reached, so you can use this to keep an accumulator tank pressurized. The second is a bypass that gradually opens as pressure increases. This is what lets my pressure-compensating drip irrigation work. It means that the pump can safely supply less than its full flow near the set pressure, allowing you to run low flow high pressure drippers (or faucets, sprayers, etc). The manual that comes with the pump explains how to adjust them in detail. Let me repeat its warning: Be careful with those knobs. You can set them such that the pump will run continuously, as I have done for my drip irrigation. The pump is not designed to run continuously and will overheat unless you control it another way (such as a pump controller board, something to duty cycle it, etc). The advertised dry run protection seems to refer to the fact that the pump can handle a few minutes of dry running, which is nice, but it's not rated for frequent or long periods of dry running. This will protect you from the occasional mistake but should not be part of your design.
