Ok so first thing that shocked me is this is actual metal. I assumed it was plastic covered in a chrome paint layer but it's actual solid metal which is super cool. The instructions were a breeze! Makes you wish all products were that straightforward and said everything in 11 lines like this one does.I thought the install was going to be long and difficult and I was assuming a 30 minutes job to install it with lots of frustration. It was done in 2 minutes and was as simple as "install the new o-ring, tighten the pipes inside the spout, rotate the the spout clockwise on the pipe" and... that's it 😳My shower is back to working and I have a nice piece that's made out of metal. I wasn't expecting much but I was proven wrong this product is awesome 😊🤗

I do a lot of repairs around our house - this took me ALL OF FIVE MINUTES to install. I think it took longer to clean the old caulk off the tile around the removed spout than installation. IAs i was cleaning the tub I noticed that the tub spout was leaking. I'm a pretty darned good googler - but there is nothing I could find on the repair of a pull down diverter. I could not tell if the leak was from the diverter or the spout itself. The spout was a delta and in places the finish was gone so i opted to replace. This was EASY PEASY. I had a delta but did not want to remove the old spout until I had a new one in hand and i wanted a metal one not plastic. This one fit the bill - since I did not know what the heck was in the spout this replacement offered almost all options. It took about a minute to remove the old spout, several minutes to clean the caulk off, remove the old o ring on the Delta Pipe nipple that was inside the old spout - this spout CAME with a replacement O ring and i did put some tape on the threads of the nipple and screwed the new spout on. Turned the water on - no more leak. Caulked around the new spout because there was a significant gap on one side of the spout (no it was not cross-threaded) the pipe was apparently bent. I did go to home depot and purchase some more o-rings "just in case".Now for the downside - you do have to have a pretty good flow of water to hold the diverter down but that is normal. The pull down diverters have (at least to me) less problems than the ones that pull up.Thank you Danco for making such a great product and having it easy to install.

Diverter was letting a lot of water go out the faucet side rather than diverting to the shower head. I took it apart and found a pinched O-ring. Replacing the O-ring fixed the blowby condition with no leakage. Two places were scratched or nicked. The bright finish keeps these from being noticeable but the otherwise first class nature of the product is diminished. I hope these won't lead to early corrosion.I bought this product rather than the similar Delta offering because it is metal construction rather than plastic at the same price point. I am disappointed that this one passed QC without being flagged. If not for these flaws, a 5 star product.

I bought this item (from elsewhere maybe a couple of years ago?) to replace an old tub spout and it worked well at first. But I did have to manually pull the diverter back up after every use to get it to stop diverting flow. But as time passed it became more and more difficult to use the diverter - until it has now become almost impossible to pull down to divert flow. But a positive thing is it actually has the original Delta part numbers on the packaging which I used to search for and buy on Amazon. So I bought one of those Delta units to replace it and it works GREAT!
