The measurements are on the INSIDE of the cup, you can easily see the markings when filling the cup with rice. The marking of 180 is equal to "1 Rice Cup" when using an electric rice cooker. Fill the measurement cup to the 180 line for each "cup" of rice you are making in the cooker. Rice cookers refer to a "cup" as meaning 180 mL per cup. So this stainless steel replacement cup is the perfect size to make perfectly cooked rice! You have to measure in mL in order to get an accurate rice measurement. Dishwasher Safe. Easy to Clean. Easy to use.

I recently bought a stainless steel rice cooker so I bought this just to match along with it. It has a nice clean look to it, it is easy to clean and the quality seems to be good!At first I thought the size of it was smaller compared to the traditional plastic ones however its capacity for rice is actually bigger. Took a little bit of a learning curve to get the right amount of rice to cook but functionally it works great.I would recommend this if you want a plastic free option for your rice.

It's a substantially better piece of gear than the supplied plastic cup, nice heft, clear markings, and is a definite upgrade from the supplied cup.

Love this cup! Very durable. Easy to hold. I have two and want more—one for each of my rice containers. Just be aware that it's for measuring rice that you'll make in a rice cooker. It does not measure standard "cups", like for flour.

I also found myself needing a replacement for my Zojirushi measuring cup. While I could estimate using about 6 ounces or 3/4 cup (a masu in Japanese terms), I really value the convenience of having a dedicated cup and using the pot’s built-in measurements. This stainless steel alternative is a fantastic upgrade—it’s much more durable than the original plastic cup, unlikely to be accidentally thrown away, and costs half as much as the branded version. Practical, durable, and affordable!

I would have given this measuring cup five stars but for the fact that it came with a small dent in it. Not something that warrants a return or refund but something that is irritating since this is a new item. The measuring cup itself appears to be well made and measures just the right amount of rice for my rice cooker. All in all a good product but for the small dent.

I love this stainless steel cup! I've lost my Neuro Fuzzy cup during a move and was looking for a replacement. With the amount of rice we eat, I was getting tired of doing math. This has been a wonderful replacement! It's sturdy, easy to clean, easy to pour, and I'm not worrying about it cracking or chipping. The nicest thing is that it's going to be much harder to lose!

I lost the plastic measuring cup which came with my rice cooker. This is an awesome replacement.I was afraid I would have issues measuring a half cup as it’s not transparent. But the markings are elevated (not printed) and clearly visible.

Started out with plastic cups that came with rice cookers, but lost one (see below) and wanted a replacement. Got this for only a slightly higher price and generally trying to minimize plastic. It's remarkably better than the plastic cups I'd used for years in a few different ways.- The relative weight and rigidity is nicer to handle when scooping rice. Cup doesn't flex with pressure and just feels more secure & balanced. Digs in satisfyingly and I'm guessing spills a little less on the way up.- Likewise feels more solid while leveling excess rice at the top.- It "taps" well, whether to level partially-filled rice or to empty contents fully.- I find fewer grains left sticking to the steel than plastic.- The non-translucent color and again weightiness makes it easy to see and not accidentally lose. I lost the previous plastic cup by leaving it in an empty rice bag which I disposed in the trash. I wouldn't expect the solid steel cup to slip by like that. It's also easier to locate the stainless cup in a big pile/sack of rice.- It's fairly easy to read and measure partial volumes. Translucent plastic cups are better for lining things up visually, but then again my old plastic cup is scratchy enough that it's not very much better. The stainless cup's markings are slightly more readable anyway.- Easy in the dishwasher.I only worry about accidentally dropping or crushing it out of shape. So far it has held up after a couple of normal drops in the kitchen (benchtop to vinyl floor). It's not fragile, it seems tough enough to take harsher treatment, but I wouldn't want to test its limits.
