Seller sent incomplete. Not knowing this, not wanting to risk losing pieces, I took the unopened package to my mechanic for installation. After installation, I asked the mechanic where the light kit was and was told it wasn't included.I contacted the Seller and Amazon, but neither would send the missing part or give me a partial refund so I could buy it myself. They wanted the entire, heavy package returned for replacement. Now Amazon wants me to revise my review before theyll post it, so let me add that I should have contacted the Attorney General, because it was an expensive loss, may still. This is important for any buyer to know. Yes, it fit my car. It was heavy, if that means good quality. But when it comes to customer service when you need it most, find another seller and someplace beside Amazon.

Even though Amazon says that it fits the 2008 Honda Odyssey model, this is not the case, the adapter wiring is for 2011 to 2015 models and to get the correct one you must return everything. THEY SHOULD NOT SELL IT ALL TOGETHER. and contacting CURT doesn't help at all. Now I have to spend more to buy the correct wiring adapter

Bought this to tow the Runaway minicamper I just purchased. Sadly the mounts in the van had rusted and I ended up taking it to a shop so they could retap the holes and mount it for me,, but that was no an issue with the hitch. I installed the harness myself with no issues. It pulls the trailer with no issues.

The hitch itself seems like a great product. But the wiring harness was missing from the box. And the manufacturer website offers no support. And the support phone number doesn’t work either. I’m not going pay another $70 for a part that should’ve come in the package. So unless Amazon can figure out a solution, I’ll have to return this thing and get another one to see if the next box has all the parts.

My weldnuts were rusted and after using WD-40 and cleaning it with a wire brush, I was able to get the bolts to thread all the way through. Fortunately, I didn't need to use a tap to re-thread the weld nuts. I used the provided bolts to help me clean the weld nuts as I used the wire brush back and forth with screwing the bolt in WD-40. It took me about an hour to get all 4 bolts secured since the cleaning of the weld nuts took time. Note: A torque wrench is very import to use when securing the bolts in the end so that you don't break the bolts. There were a couple of times where I thought I was going to break the bolts but after a few more turns, the torque wrench clicked telling me I was good to go.Recommend that instructions reflect via illustration and direction to put the coiled spring in through the 3rd hole into the access hole. Afterwards, instruct to put the spacer and attach the bolt once the spring is through the access hole. Next, thread the spacer and bolt back completely through the 3rd hole. It's essentially the directions they currently have on their instructions but backwards. I guess the instructions they have now is for other Honda Odyssey models. PIC NR1 is of when I brought the spacer and bolt through the 3rd bolt using the directions I provided above. I saw this method on YouTube after I installed it. I guess I should have checked You Tube first. The wiring harness I received with my Curt hitch was Curt custom wiring connector 56378. When I called the Curt company directly, they said I needed Curt 55336. Unfortunately, Curt doesn't sell directly to the public. I called Amazon, and they help me order Curt 55336 and refunded me for the order.PIC #2 is of Curt 56378 PICS #3 and #4 are of Curt 55336

First off, you will need a torque wrench. And before you go judging me as “one of those guys”, I originally was in the “I will just tighten the fire outa that mutha” camp. Then I remembered that my son had a torque wrench so I decided to give it a shot and see just how much higher I torqued it than was necessary……..Low and behold I tightened the heck out of that thing and found that I only put about 3/4’s the torque needed. I had to brace my foot under the opposite wheel to keep the creeper from rolling me out into street but was eventually able to get it to the recommended torque. The longest part of the install was finding all of the plastic push rivets and two screws behind the driver side mud flap that held the factory trim panel on that blocks the driver side frame mounting holes. Once that was off I just used a floor jack to hold the mount in place while I routed it over the muffler and got the bolts started on each side.I used it to tow a 5x8 U-Haul trailer for 4 1/2 hours each way with no issues. The trailer was for bulky stuff (couch, desk, etc.) so no a lot of weight but it was very smooth riding and the plug in wiring harness was super simple to install with the instructions provided.Overall great purchase that I wish I would have done a long time ago.Pictures are rear, passenger side over muffler, driver side with factory trim panel removed

Slight trimming on driver side plastic. Behind bumper. If you want to. I just left my clip out and let it sit against the hitch. Comes with everything you need
