How difficult is it to ship the right one? Received a 2inch one for a Subaru Forrester vs a 1.25inch one for a Tiguan.

Received the Curt Hitch, nice Sturdy box, arrived in good condition. Checked it out with the Tiguan and all seems to fit fine. Not enough clearance at home, no lift to install it. Went to a VW, etc, tech garage and it was installed in less than 20 Minutes, installation was straight forward and seems quite secure. A lot better cost than at VW or Thule or Yakima, others... etc. Thanks.

The directions say 20 to 30 minutes for installation. On my car there was so much sound insulation sprayed on that I needed to use a floor jack to push the hitch into place. I then used a rubber hammer to line up the bolt holes. Actually installation time was closer to an hour.

Install with backend off an incline so that you have a lot of wiggle room for the hitch. It's almost impossible to install on a flat surface. Once it's in, it's great.

Easy to install, took about 15 minutes with a pneumatic impact gun.Ingenious little spring device included for holding bolts as you install them.Looks great, though. Too soon to report on durability and longevity.
