You can plug it in, but the oven seldom recognizes that it's attached. Difficult to figure out how to work it, because it's an add-on item and there are no instructions in the manual for how to use it! No instructions came with thermometer itself either.Disappointed in what should be a game changer of an item. :(

The cable quality is not as good and can't take too much heat. It started showing some burn marks after few rounds of cooking.

You would think this would come with the stove, right?. The stove cost $130 and this little wire cost $20 as a separate purchase. I have not used it yet so no comment on that yet hence the 3 stars based on the fact I had to pay extra.

When I received this the first time I thought it was an error and returned it for a replacement. What I had received was only the metal tip. There was no cord attached to plug it into the oven.A replacement was sent but it was the same thing, a 3”-4” piece of metal and no cord. If that’s all you need then this is your item. If you actually want a thermometer with a cord that plugs into your oven and gives a reading, like what is pictured, then don’t bother with this item.
