Yet another very affordable mod for your SCX 24, changing the gearing can dramatically affect the performance. There’s a noticeable pep in the step now, but even more noticeable at slow speeds while climbing. Like having an extra low gear. Good stuff, built well, unfortunately no instructions, but if you haven’t taken yours apart yet, it’s only a matter of time. Good stuff.

So parts wise, this is a very nice mod. It dropped in super easy, but there aren't any instructions. My crawler is pretty heavily modded, so I've taken pretty much the whole thing apart several times by now so for me it was easy. If you haven't taken your apart as much, it's one of the more in depth mods. You have to take apart most of the front end. Like I said though, everything fit together perfect really. Really the only knock on it is the complete lack of instructions. It's parts in a small ziploc. That's all you get.I'm not going to knock the part for this, but as far as mods I've done, this one I saw very little improvement for the type of crawling I do with my rig. It's not necessarily what was intended, but I might get another set for the rear. I have the 66t motor mod on mine (a mod I DO recommend), and it's noticeably slower than the stock motor so changing the gearing might be a good way to get some of that wheel speed back. I know plenty of people on forums swear by this mod, and maybe it's exactly what you need, but for the crawler courses I do it did very little. It didn't hurt, so I probably won't take it off unless I start seeing increased wear or something.TLDR great part, but include instructions, or a diagram, or something for people who aren't as comfortable tearing apart and reassembling their crawler. Also not a worthwhile mod for me. I saw no to very little improvement in crawling.

Some kits only come with bushings but the scx24 normally comes with bearings. It is possible for bearings to fail or wear so even though they come with bearings it's nice to have a set so you can quickly change them out if needed and keep on rolling! These seem like a decent set and spin freely. Good Value as well.

Fairly easy to install, and does give just a bit of speed increase (which may be bad if you haven't changed the motor). Gears feel well built.

I was looking for overdrive gears for my SCX24 build and this looked like a good option. The steering on a SCX24 can only do so much so adding some overdrive will help it turn around a bit better as well. It's also nice to have the overdrive help on some climbs too.
