I thought it would be steel at first though I knew the price was low if it was. Kept them but they should make the fact it's plastic more obvious.

Training with a safety weapon of the exact same type as the weapon it's meant to simulate is important in my opinion. This is an exact match for the steel tiger and I love it. Great buy, also kinda turned into a fidget toy for me as manipulating it through grips has come a pass time while watching TV

Heavy and weighted oddly. Does not feel natural in my hand.

This is an excellent training tool. It's not too heavy, fits well in the hand, and it's a hard plastic that's durable. I actually have two of them now, and practice with it regularly. I love it.It is the same shape as the real one. The black one is on too of the real one in the photo.

Anyone who is into the self-defense and blade arts knows that Cold Steel produces high quality and durable products. They produce great knives and training products related to the self-defense and blade arts. I recently purchased this fantastic Cold Steel (Rubber Training Karambit) 9 inch training blade and I love it. I found it to be durable, light weight and easy to use. The Karambit style knife are used in the Indonesian and Filipino martial and blade arts. The unique design consists of a curved blade and a hole at the end of the handle to place one of your little finger or thumb depending on whether you use the forward or reverse grips. There are many interesting techniques that can be done when practicing with the Karambit and it is often combined with unarmed tactics as well.If you are seeking to study the Karambit you need to seek out instructors who are trained in its use. Always train with a good trainer Karambit like the Cold Steel model when working with a partner. The tip and blade of the real Karambit is very sharp and safety is the most important factor in any kind of martial art or self-defense system.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. This item is nicely designed and manufactured from a pretty strong material, it seems like it'll last a while. I'm new to Karambit but I think I'd like it to be a bit heavier. It's not too light, but I think it might spin easier if it were a bit heavier. Again, I am a new bee, so what do I know. I also bought a live Karambit at the same time, and I am REALLY glad I bought this trainer! The real Karambit seems like it can very easily cut you during practice if you are not careful.
