Unfortunately, this is a bad imitation of a whistle. It's not nearly loud enough and it's a cheap plastic. I doubt that in the event of an emergency, this whistle would do much good. I'm returning it.

Can not beat the price. You blow it whistles. What else can we say. I have too much spare time I think.

We were quite surprised at this Coleman knockoff brand. It's small and sounds off loudly. It should be cheaper than $5, so I'm surprised that's what Amazon lists it at. Our local surplus store had it cheaper. Still, great whistle, I'm going to buy a bunch more (from somewhere else).

This whistle is super easy to blow. My almost-three-year-old can easily blowing whistle to nearly full volume, plus it comes with a breakaway lanyard, unlike others. Highly recommended for kids, little, weak or special lungs!
