I did not get this to add privacy to my room, although it would work for that as others have stated. My windows have cheap plastic blinds with slats and I needed to diffuse the harsh morning sun as it rose across the upper portion of the window. Worked perfectly! I now get sun but without the blinding rays. Cheap and durable solution. Easy to install!

I wanted my bedroom to get some light but it faces the front porch... having this privacy film solved this problem!The whole process takes time but it's easy to do. I used a spray bottle and a credit card to install this on my window (a squeegee would probably work better but a card is all I had!). I also used an x-acto knife to cut the edges.To install, you spray on the window and then spray the static cling. Make sure you have enough space to lay down the film beforehand so you can spray the whole surface with water before installing it on the window.Honestly, I found that it's ok to use more water than less because you can just scrape the bubbles out and wipe away the water. If you make a mistake, remove the static cling and start again. It won't get damaged in any way!

It looks great! This probably is more a how to do than a review. The stars should speak for the review. Measure twice, cut once. Clean the surface thoroughly and apply generous amounts of mild soap water. For larger surfaces, get help. Use a good quality utility blade to cut and viola! Looks great and offers privacy!

Our house has a rectangular glass window right next to the front door, and anyone walking by could see straight in. We wanted privacy without sacrificing natural light, so we decided to try Coavas Window Privacy Film. This film is made with a frosted design that obscures the view from the outside while still allowing plenty of light to come through. It was surprisingly easy to install - we just needed a spray bottle, some soapy water, and a squeegee. The film itself is high quality and feels very durable. We can't see out, but we can tell there are still shapes and shadows visible from the other side, so it's perfect for achieving daytime privacy. This privacy film is an affordable and effective solution, and we're very happy with the results. We highly recommend this product!

Really really cute. I have two reasons for giving me up four stars rather than five, The first is that pattern is much smaller than the advertisement would lead you to believe. Each little heart hexagon is probably only a couple inches across, three if you count all of the details before the pattern repeats. The second reason is because from left to right the pattern doesn't line up exactly. It would have been pretty easy to make it so that the pattern ends exactly in the middle of the shape, but they didn't do that for some reason? So lining it up I would either have to cut off a couple inches to make it match up perfectly (which I didn't buy a roll big enough to allow me to do that, I got exactly as much as I needed assuming that the pattern would line up from piece to piece) Or do what I did which is try to make it match up as best as possible and just have a couple of spots where the pattern isn't quite right. That said it's still super cute. My living room window is at the top of the stairs for my apartment complex, so anyone who lives on my floor walks by my window, and I wanted a lot more privacy, but I also just love natural light so I wanted to be able to let in a lot of natural light and this achieved both of those. It lets in so much light, but it also really fully obscures everything looking through it, so I have great privacy and I can still have the morning rays shining in through the top That I just cut out with a pair of scissors. I got a cheap little installation kit to help me install it, but I think even without one of those this wouldn't have been too bad to install. As always when installing these I wish I had a second pair of hands, but you figure it out.

Wasted quiet a few pieces due to the plastic not coming off the film however the pieces we did salvage worked well.

I checked out a few youtube how to videos before starting and the install was a breeze. They look great and do a great job updating our entry, no more dirty curtains (we have dogs).Prep the windows by cleaning very well (baby shampoo with water) and a scraper to get off anything very small stuck to the glass. Small bits of debris will cause bubbles which will cause the film to fail. I used a wallpaper brush to work out the bubbles and a credit card for the stubborn ones.

I ordered the 35.4x118.1 inches silver silk. I especially ordered it as it mentioned that there is no glue. However, I received a vinyl roll with glue backing. Maybe it’s the size or the product quality is different in the UAE, but if there is such a difference according to size, it should be mentioned in the product information.

If you want this product because the width is perfect for your window, be aware it is actually 17.5 inches wide.

This stuff was WAY easier to apply than I thought. I was really nervous based on my experience with shelf liner, but it's so simple to position (and reposition) because there's no actual sticky adhesive. All it takes is lots of water and a plastic putty knife. Went up so quick and easy! Do make sure your measurements are correct before you put this up, though - I wasn't able to trim the edges with a knife once it was in position (the glass in the windows has a rubber seal around it). Also - if you measure wrong and come up short (like I did on one window), it's almost impossible to patch. The 1" strip I stuck to the side barely adheres, and you can see a very visible seam from both inside and outside. (Note - in my pics, you can see the strip of masking tape I used to try to get the seam to lay flat. DON'T DO THIS. When I peeled it off the next morning, the whole edge of both sides of the seam came with it. More water and another pass with the putty knife got it to stick to the window again, but it's still not pretty.)I got the "silver silk" and thought it provided a good balance between allowing light in and camouflaging all the junk inside our garage. Might have preferred just a littler more blur (because things sit so close to the window), but still, I like the pattern/grain a lot.
