I bought a 2016 Lincoln MKX and the person who owned it before me had wax all over the black trim. I used this product and it came off relatively easy. Some spots needed additional applications, but for the most part this product works awesome!

My new pickup was delivered a few weeks ago and looked great until a couple of rain showers revealed that the dealership’s detail shop had gotten paste wax all over the plastic trim. It looked like a crime scene that had been sprayed with Luminol. The dealer refused to remove it, and I knew from past experience this is very tough to get off, so I decided to order a bottle. Twenty minutes after I took it out of the box, my truck looked new again. Some areas required a second application, but eventually all the paste wax smears were gone while only using a small amount of product. I’m glad to have this in my car cleaning inventory. Thanks Chemical Guys!

I'd probably give this a 4.5 because it did remove the old wax (the wax had been on the trim for six months). For fresh wax, it would probably be much easier. But for older wax, it's not as easy as "wet and. wipe." Tried it with a cloth as suggested. Little improvement. Then I sprayed the remover on a toothbrush and brushed the waxed areas, followed by wiping them with a cloth. After letting the areas dry, there was still some wax visible. Did it again, and that removed almost all of the old wax. Touched up a few spots. Pleased with the result. Tried the eraser method; it would have taken much, much longer.Important takeaway: I will NEVER wax a car with lots of trim without first taping with masking tape the trim areas next to the areas to be waxed. Takes 15 minutes to tape, and no problems afterwards.

I bought this to get the wax off my bumper. It worked great. I did two passes and it’s gone. Highly recommend!

I've had this for a while now and I can tell you that it does not work well for me on removing wax on the black trim of my CX-3. It will remove wax/oil on very smooth and/or painted surfaces i've noticed but seems to not like textured or grainy trim. I've tried removing wax from the trim with a toothbrush, microfiber cloth with this product. I've even tried using more pressure when rubbing it on. It looks like it starts to work but once you wipe it dry with a clean microfiber, you still can see the wax. It does have a nice scent, as do most of their product line does, but whether or not it works like it's supposed to is what counts. Will not be purchasing again.

So happy I found this product. A friend waxed my gal's car, and waxed all the pebble textured plastic too, leaving it a huge streaky white mess over large areas. Tried some other detail products which did not take it all off. This worked very well. The trick I discovered is the product dissolves the wax, but you also have to WIPE the wax away while the product is still wet. It is not a wipe on and mostly leave on product. That means: 1) Don't keep using the same part of the wet cloth you apply it with, as it will carry wax. 2) Wipe completely dry while the product is wet on the plastic, which will carry off the wax. If you let it dry, the wax will still remain. Therefore, do not attempt to treat large areas at one time. Hold it to about a square foot. Before I learned this, I had to do multiple passes to get the wax off and have it looking nice and even. Once I figured this out, I usually didn't have to do more than two passes. Also, I did not have to use a brush. Simple course microfiber cloth was used both for applying and drying. It does require medium rubbing effort, but not real hard. Circular motions are good for applying and loosening wax.

This stuff works. I was expecting my car would need a few applications as the previous owner seemed to have got more white polish on the trim than on the paintwork!!But no, one application and it was gone. I hardly used any product and it didn’t need loads of ‘elbow grease’ either.Highly recommended product.

The cleaner did what it said it would do! Directions say to use a Terri cloth towel to scrub the area. My wax was two weeks dry so I tried a tooth brush. The cloth was just not working for me. If you get the wax off soon after you wax your car the cloth may work. I recommend a stiff plastic bristle brush.

Definitely a good product if you have accidentally polished your plastic. Not the cheapest one around, but similar products just make the white haze disappear until the next wash and/or rain fall. If you want the unattractive white mess gone, buy this.
