I have most of this installed and it looked like it would work but the bearings are sized differently than the old ones so I had to take the fork into a bike shop to remove the old crown race. Unfortunately though the inner diameter of the new one is too large and will not fit snugly and therefore will not work. I have seen reviews for other headsets where this happened and it seems the vendor usually ships out an undersized one. I have contacted the vendor here and not received a response.Update, I've had the guys at REI order a crown race that will hopefully work. Even though the text above says "Any questions,please contact us firstly! we can help you solve the problem until you are satisfied" no one has responded me.

The seller states that this is a 1" ISO headset. It is not, the crown race inside diameter is 26.9 mm, which is JIS.ISO crown race diameter is 26.4mm.

Seems very sturdy, so much better than the alloy / pot metal parts that came with my Lynx dual suspension mountain bike, which shattered due to rough roads. Do note, I've had to tighten and adjust the top nut and bearing race twice since installing it because apparently it settles more into the front tube with time on rough gravel and pavement. Must say that I feel much more secure now that I know my fork is secure.

Used this kit to replace the headset on our sons pedal trike. Great fit and finish and the bearings come pre-greased. Would highly recommend!

The product fits on my project 1996 Fuji “Marlboro” folding bike.I purchased the bike due to its uniqueness and decided to throw everything but the frame away. The original headset had surface rust and the bearings were really rusted out. I used an old handle bar and hammer to tap off the old headset from the inside of the frame. I noticed the measurements is similar to vintage headsets from my 70’s road-bikes.When i received the product they were packaged and greased. The headset was installed by using a 2x4 to cushion the hammers impact on the new headset.I saw no damage from what how i installed the product.

The bearing cups easily pressed into my 1996 Cannondale frame. Didn't think too much about it until I dropped on crown race. I thought I was going to be 26.4 mm but inside diameter of race was 26.9. the product I received was either j.i.s. standard or a defect. Either way it didn't work. Still gave three stars because it was decent quality.
