This is a FANTASTIC scratching post! It's tall, stable, has a good size perch on top. The "trunk" of the post comes in 2 pieces that screw together which is great because if your cat tears up the top section, you can swap them and have a new scratching surface on top which is where most scratching occurs. The trunk is covered with what feels like carpet backing and it is VERY tough and secure. My cat has been using this for about 5 months, scratches on it every single day, and you can't even tell. Even my outside cat loves to scratch on it when she comes inside. There's lots of scratching surface, as the trunk is wide and square. A lot more scratching surface than most round scratching posts. He loves getting on the perch and playing with the dangle balls, too. The base is wide, flat and sturdy. Wouldn't be easy to knock over, but might be possible for a fat cat who jumps on it at full speed lol. It looks nice and is super easy to put together, only took me a few minutes. I plan to order another one for the bedroom as my cats hang out a lot in there, too. Highly recommend!

Each part is well-marked. Quick and easy to assemble (I was able to put it up in 3 minutes and I’m not a handy person). The size and the height are purrfect. My chubby girl can attack it like a sumo wrestler, and it will stand still. When she was young, she used to love climbing up those taller scratchers. She no longer does it but if your furry babies like climbing up, this will be just fine. And I love that this has a top landing area.If you get a scratching pole, don’t waste your money by getting those small short ones. Get at least 2 ft tall one with a big sturdy base. This is definitely one of those.

A good post for my multi cat household. They like sitting on the top of it too. Easy to assemble.

Pretty happy with this so far, although I do have to express the good and the bad here. The good -- It's only $30 right now. It's pretty tall for a cat scratcher. It's great for long boys and girls. My two are both long and kind of chunky. It's got a platform on the top that allows my babies a chance to sit up a little higher and reach a goal when scratching and climbing. Nice to put treats on top and entice more play.It took all of five minutes to put together. It's square so it's easy to put in a corner. The sisal like material seems to entice scratching, which is a good thing for kitties like my poly orange girl who needs all the scratching she can get to ensure her nails don't curl back between trimmings. The downsides -- The center is two pieces and it doesn't seem to tighten as much as you would want in a scratcher. It's not all that heavy, so chunky chunks like my two at 11 & 12 lbs rock it and knock it over when trying to climb on top.The two attached balls seem like a means to cause their claws to get stuck, the rubber band to smack them in the face, and something for them to want to chew on and swallow. They may also pull on it and cause a topple. The base wobbles some which poses a fall over hazard if you're a cat just trying to get their scratch on. No one wants to be beaned in the head or have their toes smashed while getting good scratches in.Unsure how long it will hold up in the grand scheme because as others mentioned, it seems to have an underlayment of cardboard versus either wood or an ultra thick layering of board material. The gap between the two pieces is a place where claws can get hung up. I have a poly and her extra beans can be a little bit menacing as far as maintenance and regular cat play. It's still not quite tall enough for the longest of boys and girls so a larger/longer breed still needs something a bit taller. There will be a line in multiple cat households.I am enjoying it so far even with the negatives I mentioned and both cats have taken an interest. I'm happy to see them enjoying and if you have a regular boi or girl, it's probably going to be great. I'm just always trying to have more enriching toys while we transition apartments and I just happen to have two chunkers that are also a bit long. I set a 10 lb weight on the base of mine while in the corner to kind of give a little more stability and prevent toppling. I hate when my babies are enjoying a good play and something happens that hurts and makes them leery of a toy again. If you've ever seen rubber strings snap back, things break, or a tower topple, you get it.

This would be great if it came with all the parts. I can’t even put it together because it’s missing the m8-80 which is the piece that connects it together! What a waste of money. I now have to spend more money to find the certain piece so I can put it together. Don’t waste your money on this product!

Pros: Extra-tall design (32 inches) lets cats stretch fully and enjoy healthy scratching Made with 100% natural sisal fibers that mimic tree bark, enticing cats to use it Sturdy wooden core and large base prevent tipping, even with heavy or playful cats Easy assembly with clear instructions—no extra tools required Includes a jumping platform for added fun and exerciseCons: Platform size may be small for very large cats to perch comfortably Sisal material, while durable, may shed slightly over timeThe details:If you’re a cat parent like me, you know the struggle of keeping your furniture intact while satisfying your cat’s natural need to scratch. This scratching post checks all the boxes for function and durability while giving my cat something she loves. Standing at 32 inches tall, it’s one of the few posts I’ve found that actually allows my cat to stretch out fully while scratching. The sisal covering is a brilliant touch—it mimics tree bark, which seems to be a natural magnet for her claws. Bonus: my couch thanks you.Assembly was a breeze. Everything came neatly packed, and I had it put together in about ten minutes with no tools needed—perfect for someone who isn’t handy before their morning coffee. The wooden core and sturdy base make it solid enough for even the most enthusiastic scratchers, and the jumping platform adds an extra layer of entertainment. My cat’s not huge, so she fits comfortably, but I could see larger cats maybe struggling with the platform’s size.Overall, this scratching post is a fantastic addition to our home. It’s tall enough, sturdy enough, and just annoying enough when my pal "Vinny" decides to scratch it at 2 a.m. In other words, it’s exactly what he needed.Rating: 5 out of 5
