  • LIE FLAT SEAMS AND LEG GRIPPER: Comfortable lie-flat seams and GIRO3 leg gripper make sure the shorts stay in place.

Fit perfect. Lots of elastic. Great value.

These are the best cycling shorts that I have ever owned, and I ride a *lot* (10,000 - 12,000 miles/year). My Castelli shorts from 2020 are getting a little old, having gone through the wash hundreds of times already. These shorts are a little pricey, but they last extremely long and the fabric doesn't really wear. As other reviewers mentioned, the shorts are on the small side. I bought Large for me when I normally would buy Medium men's sportswear. They're still very snug to pull on, but that's entirely OK. Once they're on, they don't move around and don't restrict circulation. Castelli has figured out how to have enough room for the men's private parts and nothing is being squashed. Once these are getting old in maybe 3-4 years, I'll buy them again.

I am buying a new pair as they are my favorites. The old ones were getting thin but they have of 5000 miles on them. I have other brands like Pearl but these just feel the best.

Ordered a xxxl which according to the manufacturer should fit a 46 inch hip size. In reality it was so small it just fit someone with a 32 inch hip size.

Ordered and return 2 diff sizes, absolutely ridiculous sizing and won’t order again. Sort the sizing out.

I usually wear a large, or sometimes even a medium (32 inch waist). Because of other reviews, I ordered an XL. It should have been labeled XS. Sent it back and ordered a 3XL. The 3XL was snug, but ok. The padding was excellent, and my bottom felt good for the entirety of a 31-mile ride. Unfortunately, the shorts also cut off circulation to the frontal region, if you understand what I'm saying. I'm going to try one of Castelli's other shorts to get the padding and, hopefully, a bit more room elsewhere.

As many reviewers have pointed out, these shorts are great quality but that doesn’t matter if you can’t put them on! They are WAY too small. Makes no sense. Castelli Entrata 2 M shorts fit fine, but the Endurance in a L won’t even go on. This seems like a manufacturing problem. Sure hope they can resolve this because I think the shorts would be great if they would just size them properly.

I bought a pair of less expensive Castelli shorts last year, and they’re good quality with a seat pad that’s good for shorter rides (20-25 miles). So, I decided to spend a bit more for these shorts that I could use for longer rides. After only about 10 rides, I just threw them away. First, the fit on the cheaper shorts was in line with what I normally wear, so I bought the same size in these shorts, but they run noticeably smaller. I could still wear them, but they were snug. Second, I noticed after a ride last week that the leg panel seams were starting to come apart. At first it was just one spot on one leg. But, after my ride this morning, both legs in multiple spots were coming apart (see picture). Upon closer inspection, I was astonished that these more expensive shorts have single stitching at the leg panels, while the cheaper Castelli shorts I bought last year have double stitching. In 17 years of road biking, I have owned many shorts. I have never gotten such poor value from any of them as I did with these. The seller said that Castelli would only honor manufacturing defects, but would not warranty the shorts. She did offer to reimburse me for repairs, but that’s pointless because of the poor design of the single-stitched seams.

I brought these to see if the extra cost was worth it over the Entrata Shorts. These shorts performed very well on rides ranging from 1 - 6 hours. I didn't even need to use chamois cream and never experienced any discomfort. However, my experience with the Entrata shorts was the same so for me I can't see any reason to pay the extra cost unless these shorts hold up for a much longer period of time. If you decide to buy these you'll like them, but order a size larger then normal as they run on the small side.

UPDATE after 3 months of riding. My original comment about ordering up at least one size still stands. I've ridden about 1000 miles in these shorts and not one saddle sore. Comfort with this pad is great.Over the years, I've ridden over 100k miles with typical ride distance between 20 and 50 miles. I've had plenty of good and bad shorts and have mostly used medium with some small. Fitting chart is completely wrong. I am about 5'-8" and 150lbs. I normally wear medium and according to the sizing chart, I should order medium, but I ordered Large. These are still very snug.I've only done two 30 mile rides so far. First impression was that these were slipping on the saddle, but I think it was actually slight movement in the pad. This is good since the pad doesn't rub against the skin and I've not had any problem or discomfort on the saddle. I have had some concern fitting my sensitive parts in a good position. There is a seam running up the front center of the shorts and I've felt slight rubbing on sensitive skin. Not enough to notice post ride, but concerning all the same. Maybe I should have ordered up 2 sizes.
