It should be just listed as a seat filler for it is not stiff enough to be able to easily insert a phone into it!

ideal little storage compartment for bits and bobs

Although this item fits in the gap fine snd stays in place, you are very limited as to what can be stored in it because the storage area at the top is so narrow. I managed to put a pair of metal framed glasses in there, but my sunglasses, with a bigger plastic frame only just squeezed in. If they were in their case, they wouldn’t go in.

This fits perfectly in my car, easy to install and does not slide around. It is smaller than it looks but fits my phone and wallet. The quality is nice as well. No complaints.

Full disclosure: I got this through Amazon's Vine programI have a similar seat gap filler on the driver's side. I wanted to get one for passenger side too. This one is similar but even better. Both are very soft, smooth and attractive. They're also about the same size. However this one has a more firmly defined top-half storage area. It does a better job of maintaining its open rectangular shape. It may not seem like a big deal but when you're actually using it to hold stuff every time you get into the car . . . it matters. That's why I'm swapping it with the one I already have. Very happy with this.

I have a Dacia sandero with means the seats do not lift above the sides so it cannot slide under the chairs. However I was surprised if you push them further down they do actually stay in place so hat's off to that one. Unfortunately they are a little bulky which is a shame as it would make an ideal storage compartment for phones & tissues
