Does it work? Sure it does. Sounds fine. Does it work better than what I had on there? Not at all.Hence, for me, it’s way overpriced.

I've tried most of the snare wire brands out there- the nice vintage vibe of Fat Cats, the punch of PureSound, Vic Firth's Canopus collab, those German guys- but nothing...NOTHING...made as huge a difference as these babies. The Ludwig 400 got darker, tighter, without losing any beautiful aluminum tone, maybe even expanded the tuning range by hugging the reso head perfectly. My Pork Pie BoB picked up a depth and smack I'd been searching for. Next I'll try 16-strands on my sweetie, a Pearl Dennis Chambers model that I thought couldn't sound better. So don't waste a lot of time and cash trying for your perfect sound, just get the Canopus, get a few models, redo all your snares. This is the good stuff!

Being a beauty, she wants to be pretty. So I got this snare wires with golden side, along with the Canopus Belt for her. Now she looks like she's wearing gold with pretty black/red ribbons bra straps. Indeed looking sexy with a sexy voice now. Magically transform her into a sexy seductive bit *h that makes me wanna bang her more. Never regret my purchases on this Canopus item. Eargasm every time now, and loving her more and more after each bang session!

Over the years I've played many snare drums with many different types of wires, but nothing compares to Canopus wires. I'll continue to buy Canopus wires for every snare drum I ever own, new or vintage. They're that good! I've got a set of the plated wires and this set of non-plated wires and I'm extremely satisfied with both. they both have incredible sensitivity and do not overwhelm either of the drums they're matched with. Canopus wires have a very smooth sizzle to them, unlike other wires that I've found to be harsh. The plated version is a little smoother with a little more sizzle and this version has a little more snap/edge. They sound great under a microphone for styles ranging from jazz to RnB to funk to rock. You won't be disappointed!

These are great snare wires! Simply put, make the drum easier to play. Excellent sensitivity, while still cutting through the music maintaining a nice, sharp pop. I plan on outfitting all my snare drums with them. Thank you Canopus!
