Apparently all of these medallions are this styrofoam material, but I was really hoping for just a thin plastic frisbee-esque plastic. The texture looks much cheaper to me than a plastic with decent sheen and the added thickness meant I had to buy longer mounting screws for our fixtures, which was kind of lame, but they cover the ceiling imperfections that I needed them too.

There’s cheap and then there’s cheap. At least the medallions at the hardware store are made out of plastic. These are some kind of foam that is spray painted. Do not recommend.

These are a lot thicker than the medallions I have purchased before. They will require longer screws to hang a regular ceiling light. Unfortunately these did not work for our needs.

These took about 5 minutes each to install, so easy and light weight, And they make my lights look even better while hiding that old ugly hole.

I was a little worried to go with black medallions over white but I’m so glad I did. They look perfect with my new lights. They do seem lesser quality than the ones at Lowe’s but I don’t think it will be an issue since they’re not being touched or handled. I would say they’re a good value for the price!
