Works great does the job saves time and fingers. To some of you buyers, Amazon is not your local parts store “loan a tool” program!!!!

Here are the bad things first. The legs are very wide making it impossible it slip them under the dust cover welded to the backing plate of my drum brakes. So I put it on the back of the dust cover. It did bend it badly and also ripped the dust cover medal so I cut it off the backing plate. ( If I recall correctly they didn't put them on in the 50's and 60's so I don't think you really need it anyway). There is no taper on the screw which made it hard to center this puller with the drum. Even though there are spring things on the legs, the legs kept coming off the the back of the drum until I got it sunger up.Amazon took about a week to get this puller to me but they originally stated it would be overnight. I had to call then several times. They said I was due something of a premium. However I was too busy once I got the puller. (My wife was complaining about the car in the driveway with the tires off and up on jackstands). Not a good look for Amazon!!!!The good things are that the puller is very strong and relative quickly removed the drums without much strain at all. The cost of the puller was $115. Every other puller that would do this job was well over $200.My bottom line is that I am going to keep the puller as it did get the job done for me for an almost reasonable cost. Anything else would have been a lot more expensive (even more so next time) and cause long delays on the next time. However, I do he above reservations about this tool.

Used for stuck brake drums. You need some mechanical skill to do this type of work, product is excellent. Very heavy duty and easy to use. Works great would recommend to any home mechanic for pull brake drums or large flywheels.

I picked up this rotor puller because I was doing the 60K brake service on my 2016 Sentra (all wheel disc brakes). The rear driver-side rotor turned out to be seized pretty hard, so after a half hour of swearing and hammering, I left my car on jack stands and ordered this tool. It took a little over 24 hours to arrive (yay Amazon Prime). This puller feels beefy and plenty sturdy. I noticed some reviewers complaining about the condition of the threads on the center bolt, but mine arrived with no damage or obvious defects. It threaded all the way in and out with no issues, even without grease. (It also came with a mesh packing sleeve over the bolt, so maybe the vendor noted complaints and added some better packing protection?)I could have busted out the impact gun, but I figured I'd try it first with a breaker bar and a 1-inch socket. Once the puller was fixed in place, I torqued the bolt down with the breaker bar and alternated between applying further torque and some well-placed hammering on the rotor hat. Just a few minutes of that and the rotor popped free. Success! Some caveats, this will likely distort the rotor/drum, so be ready to sacrifice it (chances are you're trying to replace it anyways). I had to lightly bend back the dust cover on the inboard side of the rotor, but that's no big deal--it's not a precision part, and it's easy to bend back to decent shape. I also used an old brake pad at the end of the center bolt to help prevent cosmetic damage to the hub.Once I got the old rotor off, I scrubbed the rust off the hub flange, sprayed it with brake cleaner, and applied some anti-seize compound. I installed new pads/rotors and was good to go.

Product arrived quickly and well packaged. It was very difficult to assemble as the size of the safety locks on the arms, do not match the irregular size of the main bar. The main bar swells in places. I had to rework the hole to make it move and glide. Also, and more importantly, the main tension screw ( which tightens against the car spindle to pull off the rotors ) is of very poor quality. The screw threads are uneven. As I was screwing the bolt into the female spline, you could see an feel that the threads on the screw were uneven and as I screwed it in, it was damaging the threads. I would go about an inch in and it was easy. The next inch was extremely tight and I could see the threads were being damaged, even with grease and oil lubricant. I will need to reach out to manufacturer for a replacement bolt.

They are about maxed out in diameter for this truck. Rotors were original and on for 10 years took an impact with this tool to get them off, lube the threads up well before using. Although I abused this tool using an impact it should be good for a couple more brake jobs.

This thing worked awesome popped a 50 year old brake drum off no problem. Built very sturdy but absolutely no machine oil applied at the factory. Make sure to liberally apply lubricant to the threads before use.
