It is ideal for RV and residential hookups, and fits all standard garden hoses and faucets (3/4-inch – 11 ½ NH threads). The valve's 45-degree elbow helps eliminate unnecessary stress and strain on hoses. It features a quarter-turn pressure seated shut-off valve for flow control, and a gripper for easy connection to the faucet. The solid brass housing is Compliant with all federal and state level low lead laws. Low lead content certified to NSF/ANSI 372.

Lead-free, so it's good to use anywhere, including for drinking water, washing dishes, etc. (If that's important to you, make sure your hose and faucet connections are also designed for potable water.)Hand-tight is enough for a leak-free seal. (Gloves will help you to tighten it more, if you need to do so.)The valve is just a little stiff to open and close, but that's fine, because it prevents accidental opening or closing. People with arthritis or other issues might prefer a valve with a longer handle (because a longer handle is easier to turn).I've been using another lead-free Camco valve for over a year, several times a week, and it still works great. I expect this very similar valve to last just as long.

I use this for my RV inlet, leave it in while traveling and turn off the water so mothing can enter, also placed a cap on it. Works well.

Wrong photo. I guess i didn’t read the description well enough. The photo show a split valve connector and this is not. It’s just a 45° single connection. Product is fine if that’s what you’re looking for but don’t go by the photo or you’ll be left shopping for what you needed. Some of the review photos show the wrong product as well.

My camper came with a black plastic 45 degree angle fitting. That lasted for one season and cracked. This is a solid brass fitting that I believe will last for quite a few years.

After trying several of the plastic valves, only to have them leak or break, this valve has ended my search. It works perfectly. Just make sure you hose end is not to fat or deep as the valve knob is very close to the threads.
