A permanently installed built-in backflow preventer helps to keep sewage from contaminating water line. Hook garden hose to the connection (outside RV) and flush for 2 minutes or until water runs clear.

This is a good and simple kit. But upon initial testing i was not satisfied with the output so i removed the internal check valve , i blocked some the holes in the nozzle (plastic welding) and redrilled until i was happy with the flow and pressure. i also installed a ball valve that stays closed when not in use.

Installed this on my older unit as was sick of stringing in the hose and “rod” into trailer to flush out system through the toilet. . Installed and took to the dumping station for the rinse. YIKES. The amount of sh$& that was left in the tank previously was shocking. Like the other reviews, my gauges read a bit more accurate Now, and was the first time the black actually read empty since I bought it. Filled the tank a few times and flushed it out a few times, and let it run a while as well, and a lot of paper came out. Worth the time now, and saves me time and less chance of getting “stuff” all over when emoting tanks now. Worth it! Buy it!

Fairly easy install, works great! If you don't have a back flush, do yourself a favor and install this!!

I installed the Quickie Flush on both the black tank and the gray tank, and the installation went pretty smooth and they work fantastic. Not a real tough job, just a little unnerving that you're drilling into you waste tanks. Here's a couple tips that helped me:1.) Remove the white plug from the spray head and use pipe dope on the threads to really help seal this area. Re-thread and snug up...but not over tighten as that will crack the base.2.) I drilled a 1" hole, rather than the recommended 1 1/8". I drilled trial holes in a spare piece of plastic, and the flush fit better into the 1" hole for me. Why drill a bigger hole if it's not needed...just another place that leaks can form.3.) I used a to get into the tight spots. If you don't have one of these, I'd recommend getting one. It's a GREAT tool that every "do it yourselfer" should have. It will make this job that much easier.4.) Use plenty of silicone when sealing the flush to the tanks. Use 100% silicone if you have it, and do not wipe the excess from around the flush. This will help seal the unit better.5.) I upgraded the hose to a thicker, bigger clear hose, and used garden hose attachments with hose bands on the ends. Works better and should last longer.6.) I attached both lines to a , and mounted to the frame. One place to attach the water line then. All in all an easy job to do and the Quick Flush cleans the tanks very well, in a little amount of time.

After reading lots of glowing reviews, and trying to clean my tank from inside the trailer, I decided I needed 2 of these. One for the Black tank and one for the Grey tank. For the money, this is one of the biggest improvements you can make to any RV. Before buying though, I highly recommend getting under your RV to see if there are any mounting spots easily accessible since you have to use a hole saw to cut the tank. The Good: They work great! I have a transparent adapter on the outlet so I could see "stuff" coming out of my supposedly clean tank that had been in there for who knows how long. I mounted the Black tank flusher on the opposite end of the outflow. The Grey tank I mounted on the same end as the outflow as that was the only available spot. The sides of both of my tanks are stepped so they weren't a good option as the "step" would have interfered with the spray pattern. Overall this is one of the best additions I've made. Installation was fairly straight-forward but if you don't like the ideal of working in really tight places, or drilling a hole in the same tank that poo sloshes around in, it might be best to have someone install them for you. I spent about 1 1/2 hours on each and that included trouble shooting the leaks. The Bad: Both leaked at the valve end. At first I tried changing the hose connection gasket and tightening with pliers, but then I realized that the water was coming out of the valve itself! It was pretty easy to fix once I figured it out, but this really should not be happening on a brand new product that is designed to attach to a SEWAGE tank.Do all of the following before installing! Inside the female hose connection on the back-flow valve is a 3/8" hex socket. Get an Allen key and unscrew the inner valve. On the threads you'll find a couple wraps of Teflon tape which were meant to seal the threads. Remove all traces of the tape and apply some good pipe dope to the threads (I used RectorSeal T plus 2 - Home Depot) and reinstall the valve. Do not tighten too much as these are plastic parts and a 3/8" Allen key can apply a lot of torque! After re-testing, I still had to use pliers to tighten the hose connection and also had to re-tighten the hose clamp on the clear hose. Now it's all dry. Not even a drip! One thing recommended by another review I had read was to hook a hose to the valve before you install so you can see the spray pattern. This is not necessary, and didn't show me that the threads leaked beforehand. But, it's pretty cool to see how forceful those jets really spray inside your tank! And, in my case it showed me that if I would have mounted them on the sides of my tank, I would have interfered with the spray pattern and made them less effective.

I just ordered this for my new trailer but I installed it about 8 years ago on my last trailer and it works like a charm. This is so easy to use at dump stations or at sites to clean out tanks. I simply attach the hose to it and turn it on and it will spray the inside of the tank and well as fill it fast to dump it out clean. We travel all summer and fast means everything when the families packed and ready to pull out.If you are handy ((I would rate this install on a scale of 1 to 10 for difficulty a 5)) you can install it to your tank. My last trailer the black tank was exsposed under trailer so it was super easy. Just drill down 2 inches from top of tank at opposite end (if you can) of drain out with a 1-1/4 inch wood type drill. Anu central location of tank will be fine. Then add silicon around hole insert sparyer and screw in 3 screws. Thats the hardest part. Then you run the hose from tank to the side of the trailer and screw that in. Once the silicon drys your all set. I never had a problem with it leaking ever and I used it hard for 8 summers. Does a great job!My new trailer the tanks are enclosed under a plastic type covering which I had to pull off one side 10 feet to get to tanks. It was not really that big a deal and the covering screwed back up like new. Maybe someone less handy may want to see whats involved on their unit 1st to see what it will take to install.UPDATE JUNE 2013. I just bought A motorhome and 1st thing I did was install flush to black tank and like always works like a charm!!! It also says right on package If it starts to leak find Alan wrench and tighten inside it may come a little loose and drip, no big deal. This product will make your life so easy specially when your in line at a dump station and want to rinse your tank and get moving.
