the Camco RV Water Filter is a highly regarded product among RV enthusiasts for its ability to provide clean and safe drinking water while on the road or at campsites. Here’s a detailed review based on its key features:Filtration Performance:The Camco RV Water Filter effectively removes many common contaminants found in campground water sources, such as chlorine, sediment, bad taste, and odors. It uses a granular activated carbon filter to achieve this, which is known for its efficiency in improving water quality.Ease of Use:One of the standout features of the Camco filter is its ease of installation and use. It connects easily to standard garden hoses and RV water inlet connections without the need for tools. This makes it convenient for quick setup and removal when needed.Durability and Longevity:The filter housing is robust and designed to withstand typical outdoor conditions encountered during RV trips. The filter itself has a decent lifespan, depending on usage and water quality, and replacement is straightforward.Compatibility:It is compatible with most standard RV plumbing systems and can be used with both city water and fresh water tanks, providing versatility depending on your water source.User Experience:Reviews from users generally indicate high satisfaction with the filter’s performance. Many appreciate the noticeable improvement in water quality, especially in terms of taste and smell, which enhances the overall RVing experience.

Works good for removing sediment but because its just a charcoal filter it doesn't do much for improving flavour of well water

take the cap off, install ( use a 2 way splitter ), turn the valve on for 5 to 10 secs and then close the valve, attach hose and voila, all done and clean water

We were getting some really nasty odors from the water at our camper. This filter stopped it immediately.

Great filter but remember to change it every year. I tried using it for two summers but it was restricting the water flow the second summer. It started to get plugged up.

These are the only filters I ever use with our RV, and they’re dependable and durable.

Last year we filtered the drinking water in our RV with a Brita filter. After we bought this product, no need for another filter. The water tastes good right from the tap!

It’s easy to install and there is no taste in my tap water which is what I’m looking for because I drink it.

So far so good -I don't have any complaints, smell or bad stuff from the water no matter where I refill. Seem to be effective -FYI - I don't drink the water in the RV so......

This filter makes crystal clear water for our ice cube trays in the RV! My RO system in the house doesn't get this clear! **Pro-tip: Do what the instructions say, and don't run the water more than half-open at the spigot. This gives time for the filter media to filtrate effectively. With my 5/8in water hose attached to this filter at half-open, I can still fill my 58 gallon fresh tank in less than 8 minutes.

I really like the easy of use of this water filter. Unlike some filters that need to be permanently installed, this easily installs right on the supply hose. The filter itself lasts for about a season of camping before water quality seems to start degrading. It is well made and for two seasons of using these has stood up to being left in a crate during travel. Having the short extension is necessary, as without it the filter would be mounted either right on a spigot or the trailer, both of which have the potential to be broken off. The water that comes out of the faucets always has a clean taste and with this filter, I have some faith that it is removing some potentially issues with campground water. The reason I took away one star is twofold. The first, is in one of the kits I have bought, the short extension leaked. This was not due to a washer as I replaced that, but the connection between the pipe and the female threads was not water tight. On another kit, I did not have this problem. Secondly, as with any filter, there is a drastic reduction of water pressure. In many campgrounds, this is not too noticeable, but there have been some places that I would need to do without the filter as it was nearly impossible to shower or wash dishes. Being a smaller filter, this is expected but in some cases a larger canister filter may permit better water flow.Overall, I do like using this filter for its ease of installation and continued use, as well as its effectiveness at filtering water.
